Am I supposed to use all my weekly points or is the goal to use as little as possible ? ( I use my daily points and try not to go over)

The whole point of weeklies is to allow you extras for those special dinners out, special occasions like birthdays, etc. They are part of the entire mindset of losing weight and becoming a Lifetime Member and maintain within 2 lbs. This is the ultimate goal with Weight Watchers! If you constantly deprive yourself of foods you love and don’t enjoy extras in a day on top of your daily points or use some of your weeklies, this won’t be a long lasting weight loss! There is so much more to this process of losing weight! It’s also changing how you view food and the choices you make! Remember this is not a diet, but a lifestyle change. You will need to play around with how many weeklies you can use in a week and still lose! But remember the average healthy weight loss per week is 1-2 lbs. Try not to get bummed when you see people on here posting a lot of weight loss in a week! I know it’s hard not to, but remember this your own weight loss journey. Everyone is different, but you will lose using the weeklies! It’s part of the program! You might find substitutions for some of your old favorite foods or if none do it justice, then eat that special craving, but count it and then move on. You will have many ups and downs in your journey, but don’t get discouraged! You can do this! Remember also the zero point foods still have calories and also they are not meant to be used everyday only! To be healthy you really need to add different foods to your diet! Of course using them more during the day when you have a dinner out or special occasion is the perfect way to use them. So to sum it up, don’t be afraid to eat your weeklies, because your ultimate goal is lifetime maintenance and you can only be successful at that if you learn how to make your own daily food choices work along with those splurges! I don't dip into my weeklies and don't eat all of my dailies but use enough to remain in healthy eating status, but you can use your weeklies if you'd like. I have heard of people using them, but I'm not sure of the weight loss success

The program is designed for your points to be used. You don't have to be afraid of them. Everyone is different, but if you weren't supposed to use the points with success, they wouldn't give them to you. I don't always use my weeklies but I don't feel bad if I want to or need to. That's the beauty of this. It's livable.

They are part of the equation for us to lose. Many actually lose best when they eat most/all of their points (daily and weekly). Some feel the need to limit them. Experiment to see what works best for your unique body

The leader at my meetings said they are there to use but not required. You will still lose weight if you are using them. For some they may lose more by using them while others lose less. I honestly think it partly depends on if a person is using a lot of zero foods or not. If you use a lot of zero foods & all of your weeklies you will consume more calories than someone who eats only a few zero foods & all their weeklies.

I never use my weekly points and rarely go over my daily points. I average 3 to 4 daily points that roll over to my weekly points. I eat 3 meals a day plus snacks in between and I am never hungry. I focus on ZeroPoints for my snacks and many of my 3 meals are only a few points. Drink a lot of water and try diffused lemon water. Its delicious and it flushes out your system. :)

The goal for weeklies is to make the plan livable and sustainable. You have to play around with them to see what works for you. I would avoid a large meal out the night before weigh-in though.

You do have to use any weekly points and I try not to use all my daily points. It depends what is working for you.

I always use my 21 weekly points, however I rarely eat zero point foods. I will occasionally have an apple, but that's about it.

@undervalue yes, those zero point foods can really add up. I know everyone says that fruit is good for you & it doesn't make you gain weight, however for me, it slows me down if I don't count it.

Yes those zero point foods. there is something to not using them or using very little. Old plans made you ‘count everything’ and now that I’m close to goal I think I need to simply practice ‘calories in/out’ more.

The weeklies are there to supplement your dailies. If you need them you use them if you don't you don't have to use them. For me personally I find it best when I stick to a range of 5 below to 5 above my daily points. This is what works best for me. I am on purple. My daily points number is 16. So I stay in a range of 11 to 21 points. Sometimes using the weeklies and sometimes not. Just depends on the day. If it is a holiday I will probably use more than 5 weeklies. I will expect a gain/maintain on my next weigh in, but it is temporary and I enjoyed my life!

I use all my points every week (Daily and Weekly). I want this plan to be a lifetime plan, not just a fast solution to weight loss that comes back on when I start eating again. To make it livable, I want to be able to have a slice of pizza occasionally or a piece of cake or a glass of wine. Those weekly points let me do that. I eat chocolate every day. I have a glass of wine about once a week. I eat a really good burger every couple of months. It's about making this a long-term lifestyle. I'm not dieting, I'm living!

You do with them what works best for you as they are there for you to use. I experimented with mine and found using half to all I had better success in losing Ana not feeling deprived. I successfully loss 70lbs.

I use mine however they work with my week. Usually for small overages on my daily points and for special occasions. They are there for you not to deprive yourself.

I didn't loose my third week they told me to eat my daily points everyday. We will see saturday if I loose. did loose 7. 4 in 2 weeks

I try not yo use weeklies. I don't eat all my Dailey's most of the time.
