Does anyone count calories?  For the last 3 or so yrs I cannot get my weight down more than 5lbs.Does anyone count calories? For the last 3 or so yrs I cannot get my weight down more than 5lbs. My pattern is workout exercise feel physically better for about 3 weeks and when the scales don't move after about 3 weeks i give up until I feel like a blob again. Then i repeat the pattern. This started at around age 46 and i feel stuck here. I have about 10 to 15 lbs total i would like to lose. I know if you dont have a lot to lose it comes off slower and my age (49)etc. i lost 12 lbs and 22 inches at age 44 doing a beachbody program. I weighed in measured and took progress pics once a month, which seemed to help but at 4 weeks doing ww and also doing a beachbody workout program ive only lost a few lbs. At one month in doing the beachbody program had done at age 44 i had already lost 6 lbs. just feeling discouraged.

No. If I wanted to count calories, I wouldn't be paying for WW. That's just me, though. I'm purple bc I dislike tracking everything

@freak thats why i did this too. plus its not restricted on any food group. I just know my whole life when i set out to lose 10 lbs or 30 lbs it usually will come off fairly easy. I know im getting older and thats probably a contributing factor and my stress level as well. don't think this has anything to do w ww just stuggling

Maybe your calories are too low for that type of work out

I do MyFitnessPal along with WW. It helps me keep the zero point foods in their proper place!

I just downloaded MyFitnessPal again, and want to track on that and also on WW app and see how it goes. I am losing very slowly, but the trend is downward, which is good, just wish I had more than a few ounces here and there and then a stall. I am down 20 lbs since July.

I think we need more information to be able to help you. Do you eat all of your daily points? How long between meals? Do you increase your protein since you workout? I know I’ve asked a lot of questions but just saying you’re struggling and not loosing doesn’t give the complete picture.

@forficate36964 you are so right. sorry i should give more info. No i don't use all points im on purple and i am allowed 16pts a day. A typical day is oatmeal for bfast w 2 tlbs of pb2 and 1/2 cup of almond milk in it and a banana snack in fruit like berries lunch can be left overs or salad w chicken n boathouse cucumber dressing then snack is ff cottage cheese w fruit in it and a little ff whipped cream on top dinner varies usually no more then 5 to 7 pts w complex carb like brown rice, ww pasta or sweet potato a protien and veggie. Sometimes a snack in the evening last few days has been air popped popcorn. I dont measure my water intake i refill my glass on every work break and at night have a diet soda

@henrietta what you’re eating looks really good. How often do you workout? When I lost my weight I had to stick to 3 days a week or I would gain. The only other thing is . have you had your thyroid checked?
by (460 points)
@forficate36964 i work out 5 days a week

@forficate36964 i had my thyroid checked last year

@henrietta I know this might sound strange but I suggest you eat all of your points and maybe some of your weeklies. What you are eating is good for someone that doesn’t exercise like you. Since you workout 5 days a week you need more fuel for your body. As I said before what you’re eating looks really good. I’ve scrolled through it dozens of times and like what I see. Some tiny changes might be switching to real PB and using lite cottage cheese instead of ff.

@forficate36964 ok great thanks for the advice i am on week 5 if the workout program its barre blend and i am starting to feel hungry all the time. but i like the idea of switching to real pb and lite cotrage cheese that makes sense thank you

For the past two weeks, since I've been on the blue plan, I have counted calories and tracked everything I eat. Everything. I am spot on with my daily points, but consistently low on my calorie intake. Giving it another week. Pretty sure I need to eat more. We will see.

Do you have a buddy to exercise with as well as check in eating wise? It helps me stay accountable and I don’t fall off as easy.

So 6 weeks in and my body all of a sudden went you have been working out and dropped. As you get back into working out your body needs to adjust also.
