It’s very hard to do when we’re stressed like this. I wouldn’t worry so much about how you’re dealing with this time. I’d consider it a win that you are still functioning during this time. Usually if I treat myself nicely I find it easier to control my eating and remember that taking care of myself is the ultimately what this diet is about. And if it takes me longer to get there that’s fine too. But my mom is helping me financially with the diet so it gives me more motivation to do it to make her money worth it

I do 3 workouts a day. 1 in Am, one in early afternoon and one in late afternoon. It really let's you be able to eat a few more calories.

By the looks of it, everybody is overeating. We are going through a major recession and it is quite natural to comfort oneself in order to cope with the long lonely days. Staying safe is the most important thing. Look after yourself by creating a routine and try hard to stick to it.

These times are tough. I try to use crunchy snacks when I have a compulsion to want to eat something like: rice cakes, carrot sticks, snap peas, salted iron honey roasted sunflower seeds, apples. This way I can see it, feel it , prep it if I have to, smell it and taste it. The more I have chew it (crunchy) the more satisfying it feels without a ton of calories. I also mix it up with different crystal light beverages so I dont get board of water and I kay off the sodas. And last but not least when I get to the fridge and do the stare down or the search in the cupboard I stop and ask myself am I hungry or board. If I'm bored I draw, clean, organize, play with dog or do anything to distract me from the kitchen. Good luck everyone. This isn't easy but it's not impossible.  Also if you have little ones go to YouTube on your smart TVs and do go noodle videos with them. They are super fun.

I’ve been really blessed. I belong to a boot camp. After 3 weeks my coach started using Zoom for some quick 30 minute intense workouts every day! Not only is it helping me get back on track with eating but it is helping me cope mentally

You need help in overeating?  Seriously, when you wake up in the morning, say a prayer for self control in your food consumption; ask for God’s help. Then drink a full glass of cold water before you do anything else. Think before you eat. Try for normal portion sizes and don’t take seconds. Don’t eat between meals, drink more water. Plan breaks in your day where you have just a cup of tea and a relaxing few moments to contemplate all of your favorite things in life (eg. Sunshine, boating, swimming, dancing, photography, etc. ) Take a daily walk for at least 20 minutes (if you live in a crowded city center then pace the length of your house or apartment for 20 minutes. )

Well you can follow a mentor and take their advice to make things easier for you. I follow the keto diet and my mentor is a doctor who also happens to be an expert on keto and watching his videos and reading his articles helped me a lot. @australopithecus79 egg noodles/fettuccini for soups, tuna casserole or stroganoff and spinach fettuccini for alfredo or marinara . it take a bit longer than 3 minutes to cook. depends on altitude and if you're going to eat now or less if you put in a casserole and bake. 1 & 1/2 cups is 170 calories or 4 points. Tuna. chicken. vegetables are zero so just count your sauce. It is something I can keep on hand, make a nice yummy dinner with a variety of options. It satisfies and I'm not hanging on the refrigerator door 2 hours later. I've given up sugar and snack carbs, but I find pasta, potatoes or rice keep me happy . it's not for everyone so no bashing . thx

@pratique thx. i find . I'm needing more "comfort food" during this anxious time and I'm eating hearty meals and no snacks . in the old days. we didn't have all this junk food. We got Cracker Jack's, popscicles or a sucker once in a while. nobody in my class was obese. we walked, ran, roller skated or bicycled everywhere we went. fun times
