New here.  Been doing blue (app only) since beginning of January.New here. Been doing blue (app only) since beginning of January. I count points, staying under my allotment most days, never splurge. I’ve lost 16lbs, about a pound a week. While I’m glad for what I’ve lost, it just seems painfully slow. Any suggestions to increase the rate of loss?

Eat your daily points and enjoy your weekly points.
by (5.1k points)
@pervious I’m really afraid if I eat the weekly points I’ll stall completely.
by (4.6k points)
@pervious I wasn’t getting enough calories and not using weeklies. Increased intake slightly and lost 4. 6 first week, 2. 4 the next.

I can eat all my points and some day's only come to 900 calories (i track off and on). Maybe try a week of eating all your daily allotment. Then maybe a week of using some weeklies. Sometimes eating more can jump start our metabolisms. Just don't use a bunch of weeklies the day before weigh-in. 16 pounds is amazing!
by (5.1k points)
@gunk5637 including weekly?
by (38.2k points)
@nork66 No, 900 calories with just my dailies. Other days its around 1200 to 1300 with all my dailies.
by (5.1k points)
@gunk5637 ok, thanks.

I lost 150 pounds loosing a pound a week. The first 100 took 13 months and the second 50 is taking a little longer. I’ve learned to focus on what I’ve accomplished rather than where I want to be.

@forficate36964 thank you. And congrats!

You've done it faster than I have! It's a lifestyle change. @pervious ok what you will be able to do for the rest of your life. You'll lose it. Just be patient. 1# a week is 52# in a year.

It takes time, and definitely some trial and error, to find what works best for you. For me, eating all my weeklies on the weekend keeps my metabolism up and allows me to still enjoy life. Down 37 pounds since end of October.

I seem to lose more when I eat my weeklies in addition to my daily points.

I have had the same results. When I started I decided if I lost 1/2#a week I would be happy. So I guess I’m right on target! Have hassle some bumps in the road the past two weeks though! I stay home and cook! Not good for me?

The goal of the program is. 5-2 lbs a week. You are right there. These bodies we have are unique complex machines and respond at their own pace. Many people actually lose best when they eat most/all of their points (daily and weekly). Eating under your points doesn’t necessarily mean greater losses. Experiment to see what works best for your unique body

This is the best way to lose weight. It will come off slowly but it will stay off a lot easier. If you are lucky enough to lose a pound a week, that will be 52 pounds in a year!

WW is not a quick loss diet, it's a maintainable healthy plan. A pound week average is great!

My advice would be remember it’s a lifestyle. So you aren’t trying to get to a “finish line” great job on the weight loss. slow and steady is fine.

Tricia, this is NOT a "quick loss" system. You've done beautifully. There are some of us who would be happy with that amount in a 6 month period. Your body will adjust. Please don't rush . Just STICK TO IT.

That is the best way to lose it. Remember that the weight didn’t go on that quickly! Why do we expect it to come off so fast?

Drink lots of water. When my weight loss plateaus I do a few days of 16/8 IF to kick start again.
by (5.1k points)
@theravada3134 16/8 IF?
by (5.2k points)
@nork66 intermittent fasting. You eat for 8 hours and fast for 16. So I eat between 11-7.
by (5.1k points)
@theravada3134 wow, ok, that makes sense. Thanks!

What’s the hurry? You were going to be eating like this for the rest of your life. You have plenty of time to lose. I lost a little over 30 pounds in a year. I think that’s great.

@nork66 That’s great. You have something to look forward to, but you should be doing this for yourself it’s a lifetime change. I used to lose weight every time I needed to go somewhere. Now it’s for me. Good luck with everything

@nork66 a pound a week could be 25 pounds down or more!

I feel this! I see the scale from 1 measley lb and I feel disappointed instead of excited. It doesn’t kill my motivation or make me want to quit but, I want to see -5lb in a week or something!

At least 80 ozs of water a day and I found out that if I rollover some points in the week. 2 days out of the week I eat my points and eat some point out of my weeklies I lose 2 pounds a week. Days I rollover and stay below my allotted points per day I only lose . 2 to 1 pound. Sounds crazy  but true.

Don’t do anyone but you! Do you ONLY list 16 lbs - that’s great! It’s not slow - avg WW loss is 1/2 to 2# a week
