So I'm on Day 4 of Purple. Day 1 was amazing and I felt so much hope. The last two days consisted of me being starving so much of the day. We have a lot of veggies on hand but I'm just so hungry. I think I need to have pre-cooked chicken on hand for some protein-based snacks. Anyway, part of it is I have earned 63 of my 25 activity points already. I do not understand how activity points work. Can anyone help? Are the 25 points already in my weekly flex points? I did not see it go up when I surpassed 25. Please help. Ha!
So I'm on Day 4 of Purple.

I don't use activity points-you earn for physical activity. I only eat my daily's, very seldom go into weeklies. If you are hungry you need to eat more protein and good fats.

Are you eating zero point whole grains too? I believe it’s key to making purple successful.

If you exercise more, you need more food

I do not eat my activity points but I know some people do. I do eat all my daily points and weeklies and have lost weight consistently doing that.

You set up your goal for activity points. I get less points with my Apple Watch than I did with my Fitbit. I adjusted my points after a month.

How did you do that? What's different?

@gob1 Tao on your picture, then tap on the gear. It will give you your settings.

I wouldn't count on activity points - rather look at your food. You shouldn't be hungry with chicken, potatoes, whole grains supplemented by vegetables. Have cooked eggs on hand. add a bit of low fat mayo and you can have devilled eggs. And fruit, especially ones like apples are filling and taste good. When I am hungry in the evening I have frozen berries with yogurt - a great low point treat. WW snack treats are mostly beneficial for the WW bottom line. don't fill you up and on purple you really don't have a lot of points to waste on them. I have never found that veggies fill me up . Not good to be hungry and you don't need to be. Oh - and oils are important for satiation and make low point dinners taste great. Good luck

Eat more of zero point foods especially protein to reduce hunger. Do not recommend eating activity points.

You can choose to trade fitpoints for food or use them for other health benefits (toning your body= lose inches, stress relief, better sleep, etc) I'm a purple person and I enjoy whole grains (like oats or brown rice), dairy (flike fat free plain Greek yogurt or cottage cheese) and lean protein (like poultry and fish, eggs or beans and lentils) Scroll to the bottom or your app and read More About Purple and read under the myWW tab on the website www. weightwatchers. com

You need to plan ahead on WW. I know my hungry times of the day. After dinner is awful. So I make sure everything I eat is in the frig or cabinet

Two things. make some zero point soup for before meals, get some carrot chips and dip in salsa until you aren’t hungry anymore

I love purple. Lots of zero point options — hard boiled egg, oatmeal, tuna, chicken, brown rice, potatoes, plain fat free yogurt. And of course fruits and veggies. I would suggest not using your activity points at first.

It's a good idea to pre make a bunch of proteins and snacks to have on hand for the week like boiled eggs , chicken tenderloins, cottage cheese, sugar free jello , sweet potatoes, etc just think about what fills you p and keeps you full and try to make as many point meals as possible . it's very easy to do on purple. always reach for protein above carbs to fill you up .

I will cook a whole bag of frozen chicken breasts in my crock pot. I just put them in layers, season each layer with salt, pepper, etc put the lid on and cook them on high for about 5-6 hours. If they are thawed it might not take as long. When done, I let them cool and portion them out 2 to a bag. That's 1 each for me and my husband. If I need more for a recipe, I thaw out bags accordingly. Also though, they're already cooked and ready to eat so if you are hungry get it out and thaw in the microwave.

Also, I've been at my goal weight since 2006 and have maintained it. I also track my food even after all these years! If my weight starts creeping up I go back to basics and remain diligent. I will admit it has been EXTREMELY hard with the shelter in place though. Not being able to be at a WW workshop, has also made it hard.

@upali that's amazing

@upali Do you track using the app or do you have a different method?
by (3.6k points)
@unaccustomed Thank you! I hope it is a help! I know how hard it is to take weight off. I also know how easy it would be to put it back on. This Shelter in Place is really making hard! I'm just trying to be diligent with my movement and tracking my food.
