102 pounds down. Always remeber. the secret is NEVER giving up. If you "slip" jump back on. If you stay the course- the ONLY option is success. You can do this but you have to either start or get back on track. Can you imagine what you will accomplish in a year if you stay committed?!

We have been supporting local restaurants all week and I have not tracked those meals. Good luck getting back on track!

Try if you can to structure your day a bit more and focus on what you had success with. If there was a week you did really well, see if you can re-create that menu.

@flareup4 that’s my trick. I just start weighing every day and that will sober you up quick.
by (450 points)
@flareup4 that's what I did.
by (20.6k points)
Daily weighing may be over doing it, but it's the feedback I need to track, drink water and exercise.

I’ve worked on being positive. My eldest son is an essential worker. Instead of worrying I’m proud. When I want to eat when I’m not hungry I do something else. This isn’t going away soon. I don’t want to gain my 75 pounds back, it won’t make anything better! Good luck

I have been bad since Easter! I also get this way right before my monthly visitor comes. Once a month I either gain or maintain. And nothing I do can prevent it.

Me too. I almost ate half a box of crackers yesterday because I was feeling like who cares. but then I remember that it was an old habit and at the 17 cracker serving for 4 points and had hubby take them from me! I'm having a rough time but if we ALL stick together, we CAN do this!

I have been investigating things that help w/ metabolism. Very interesting! Check out YouTube or TEDTALK. "Look for your helpers".
by (9.5k points)
@judaica9474 my metabolism is very low. I try everything to burn calories. I work a very physical job most nights well over 10, 000 steps and work out at least 150 -180 minutes weekly. I drink my water, track and most days happy but its tough.
by (29.5k points)
@talent Sestokas I absolutely agree! I feel the same as you as I haven't had success in over a y. We are BLEEPING winners! We will get there.

I need to get back to tracking. I’ve barely tracked in the past month while I’ve been working at home. I plan to get back to tracking today so I know when I’ve finished with my points for the day.

Track! If you are like the rest of us our eating is just one more thing that seems out of our control. But, we can fight hard to control at least a little of what we eat. Prepare your day for success. Hide all the stuff you shouldn’t eat and get the fruits and veggies easy at hand. Water, track, and plan. Those are some things you can control. I am struggling too, but this is my plan. Good luck!

I’m trying to drink water every time I feel like having a snack. My other strategy is to get up and move or work on a project around the house when the Lays or Oreos are calling my name. ?

Get a giant, never have done before FOCUS! Something unattainable. Investigate it & make a plan. ajust to urself. There is a 99 yo army man from the UK, w/ walker raising money for poor by walking everyday around his garden. He had a goal to make $1500 but it is now up to $15 million. Focus on something impossible. We can do this!

You know what's weird? I have NEVER done a meal plan in all my years on WW - but now that I'm working from home the first thing I do each morning is lay out a meal plan for the day. It seems to be helping. And yes, I do include snacks in my plan. (since I am working to stay isolated and keep others safe I don't have frequent trips to buy snacks of the not healthy kind) That way my snacks are grapes and/or pineapple. or maybe some GF crackers and pimento cheese that I've portioned out.

All I can say is covid19 you have no control of but your weight you do. So track everything and realize that the cookie/ isn't going to make you feel better the chips are going to make you feel worse! Clean out a closet or the basement or go through your clothes realize how much weight you have lost. You have got this and stay strong. !

Buy yourself something pretty - in your goal size - and hang it where it can be seen daily. It can be your inspiration. No food tastes as good as that dress (or whatever) is going to feel.

My advice is to log everything. It is really hard to do the weight loss thing alone so try to find a friend or group of friends to lose weight with (even if virtually) who can keep you accountable. Do you have a goal that is more about how you feel in your body rather then a number? Do you have a hobby to keep you distracted from eating? How much do you exercise? I would recommend checking out Bluprint. com (formerly craftsy). they have classes for all kinds of arts and crafts and cooking and fitness. If you have a Roku you can use the Bluprint app on the tv. A membership is $8 per month. I use it for dance and knitting classes all the time. Knitting and crochet is really great for relaxation and managing stress. There are classes for healthy cooking, yoga and any relaxing skill that you would like to pick up. They have classes for kids too.

I washed up a big bowl of grapes so when the munchies hit, I try and go for the grapes and not the convenient junk food. It is hard! My desire to lose this weight for good puts a lot of pressure on me but honestly, getting started is the hardest part.

I am big on meal planning since the pandemic. I map out my breakfast, snacks, lunch & dinner. No guarantee you will stick to it everytime but it takes out guess work and I just feel it makes me use food I bought, nothing is spoiling & I am better with structure. We’ll see how the scale looks Monday

Got and canned garbozo beans? I rinse & roast them , spray w/ ovo spray then add flavoring of my choice ( lately want sweet so add salt & kernal popcorn seasoning kettle corn) then if I get the munchies I grabbed a hand full.
by (450 points)
@talent A Alber how long and at what temp do you roast them
by (3.1k points)
@benne I use my air fryer on bake at 400 degrees ( have used oven too) . About 30 min total but you need to stir about every 5 min. Put the seasoning on the last 5 min. so it does not burn. Try Pintrest for more ideas!

STOP FOCUSING ON FOOD! That is how we fuel ourselves. We are ppl who have found ww to direct us w/ eating. I am NOT the fat lady in the mirrow! Or the obese lady w/ no motivation! Not the lady who worries that on this flight I will need an extension for my seat belt. I AMa lady w/ a plan but more than that, I am a lady who has accomplished A LOT & now I am finding a new purpose for my very senior years. I can change my world & that is what I AM doing! PLEASE, come join me. Get off the damn scale, follow your program & make your life EXPLODE! We are the champions!
