I want to make a two ingredient dough apple turnover recipe that has this instruction: Air fry for 8 minutes at 390°F or until golden brown. I don’t have an air fryer. How would I do it in my convection oven?

I would spray it well on both sides with @lanthanum4 or something similar. Then, I’d cook it half the time and then flip it and finish. Keep the light on and the oven door closed except for a quick flip. This is what i would do. If you ever get an air fryer, consider the Cuisinart mid size. I replaced my toaster oven with it and love it - Costco.
