Do people track EVERYTHING they eat or only those things that have points? I've seen some comments that seem to indicate some only track items with points.

I track EVERYTHING! Zero points have calories, and if you aren't losing, go back and look at all of those zero point calories and they will tell the reason why.

It’s a mixed bag! Some people prefer to not track food items that are 0 Points. I personally like to track absolutely everything — it initially helped me get in the habit of tracking when I first started, and now it’s good for me to make sure I’m not overeating  but some people prefer to just track foods w/ points values as they ease into it, or hate tracking so they track as little as possible. No wrong way to do it so long as it’s helping you reach your goals!

I always thought you were supposed to track everything to keep yourself honest, but it would be way easier to only track things with points. I have been on the Blue plan since October & have lost +/- 40 pounds.

@featly Yeah, sometimes I think I skip out on tracking things like broccoli but other than that I track everything lol I think, like you said, as long as you’re being honest with yourself and tracking then should be good to go

It is a personal preference. But my recommendation is to track everything. If you don’t lose weight, it is hard to determine why if you don’t have a complete picture to look at. Just my opinion

I track everything even things that are zero points because you can still overeat on zero point items. You can also have an intolerance to certain items like corn if you’re on blue(carbs).

I track everything because it works best for me. It helps me feel in control, but I’ve seen several who don’t.

I track everything points or no, because if I have a really good week or bad, I want to be able to look bad at all of it.

I track everything. If I have a gain or a bad week, I can look back at my trackers and see what has worked for me and what hasn’t.

At first everything! After the pounds started coming off and I could trust it was working, I went to point only items. Still working so to save time, I just do pointed items. If I start gaining, I will go back to everything.

My problem is I eat a lot of "one pot wonders" that have lots of ingredients in them - Ground Turkey, soy sauce, cauliflower mashed potatoes, corn - my version of a Shepard's Pie & I don't always feel like tracking every ingredient & I don't necessarily make it the same way twice so I don't create a recipe. It would be way easier to track a little butter & a little flour for thickening the grave.

I only track food with points, but only eat zero point foods in moderation. I lost 93 lbs on  and have kept it off over 2 years.

WW supposedly made it easier because you don’t have to track zero points, but I do because if I am not losing I want to see how much zero food I am eating

WW is a lifestyle, you have to work it. Everything I eat and drink gets logged. It’s accountability, the whole meaning of WW. Also by logging, you can look back and see what works for you. Good luck, enjoy your journey!
