Because when blended they release sugar xx

The released sugar and your body doesn’t burn calories breaking it down.

It was explained to us that it would take longer to eat the fruit unblended and would fill us up faster.

That’s all well and good. I like smoothies and don’t want so many points. Guess I need to find something else. Thanks.

You'll find a lot on this page don't agree with it and don't count fruits in smoothies. I think as long as you're not eating multiple each day to avoid tracking, you will be fine either way. I might make one once every couple weeks and I don't usually track it.

@commit I do not prescribe to the theory that blended fruits have points. It defies my logic as well as science. It is recommended that we count the points to prevent us from abusing this zero point food. Personally I don’t have that concern so I do not count blended fruit. I have it about 3 times a week and it Has not affected my weight loss. But that’s just me.
