Hi everyone!  I just started WW 3 days ago and I’m on the  plan.Hi everyone! I just started WW 3 days ago and I’m on the  plan. I was wondering how many of you eat your weekly points? I’ve had 4 rollover points each day because I feel like I’m eating so much food! I’m not sure if I could handle eating the weeklies. Will it affect my weight loss if I don’t eat them? Thanks!

Welcome your not required to eat your weeklies. They are there if you need them. I use mine sometimes but only when I want. I will tell you your going to get alot of different answers some don't use them at all, some will say use them all. Just know it's ok to use them and fi d your balance.

I don’t usually eat all of my daily’s. I have never used my weekly. I have been on the blue plan since March and have lost 70lbs. I love the blue plan, have learned to make this plan work, start with a zero point food and build from there. I try to speed my points out through out the day. Loving WW

My coach says to eat until you are satisfied, don't stuff yourself.

-10 to 5+ is what you should work for. @perviouson't eat just for points. Butter, mayo, oils will beef up your points.

Everyone is different. I had to experiment to see what worked best for me. I found that eating half to all my weeklies get me satisfied and not feeling deprived. I reached goal in 11 months losing 54lbs. Now in maintenance I not only eat my weeklies, I will use my fit points as well. I lost an additional 15lbs and have maintained now for 15 months.

@exorbitant, way to go. Love to hear you are maintaining!

I usually save my weeklies for something such as yesterdays Superbowl party

Throw in a handful of nuts every day and you won’t have points left over. I use some weeklies but not all and I try to use them on nutrient dense foods that aren’t zero.

Everyone is different. If I eat my weeklies I gain. I can only eat daily points. See what works for you

I was very successful without eating my weeklies and had many days with rollovers. Continue doing what your doing. It will all fall into place. Good luck.

@perviouson’t force yourself to eat them if you aren’t hungry. They are there and ok to eat if you are hungry. I typically only eat mine on the weekends to help with going out or having drinks etc. I’m down about 22 since 11/4/19 but I’ve been able to stick with it because of my weeklies & because I can still drink or dine out and enjoy some ‘non diet’ type things. The weeklies help with balance, enjoying all foods in moderation & to budget & be mindful about eating, especially for me & folks like me who are trying to lose 100 pounds. To keep this up for over a year which is realistically the time it takes to lose that much, it really helps me stay on the plan & not giving up by still allowing me to do the normal celebratory & weekend things & it helps me learn to use moderation instead of the free for all of lunches out every day, high calorie dinners and snacks every night or whatever. (I’m not active because of my bad knee (& ankle) so there’s that. My hope is that I’ll get some relief once the weight comes off of it and that I can be more active down the road)

I use my weeklies all the time. I am very active. Although, I must say. I am losing slowly. But that is ok. I am 55 years old and only want to be healthy and active. Everyone is different! ❤️

If you’re feeling satisfied then don’t force yourself to eat them. There WILL come a day you will need them. It could be a celebration or a craving you don’t want to deprive yourself of. You’re doing fine! Keep it up!

I think it is different for different people. I am ok if I eat mine or not. You just need to experiment and find out what works best for you. Good Luck on your journey. This is a great program.

I've been on blue since June of 2018. Not to worry, I had rollover points too and still do sometimes not to mention my weekly points but that said, I still have lost alot of weight. I have to say that I get alot of extra fitbit points from walking. Good luck, it's a great program!

Me. If you're not using your daily points, weekly points and sometimes your earned activity points you're not going to survive WW maintenance.

For me, Weeklies are either for special occasions, or for times when I have no control over what is being served. Other wise, I ignore them
by (1.5k points)
@swept That’s my thinking on weeklies, as well. They are a safety net, not necessarily part of my points for the week.

I used my weekly points yesterday for Superbowl. I went a little overboard on the chicken wings. 5 and 6 pigs in a blanket, but today is another day to get back on track. :)

Make sure you eat ALL your daily points. If you do not, it is very possible you will not continue to lose because your body feels starved. When I eat my weekly points, I tend to lose more. I usually use them over a two day period. Mostly the weekends.
by (6.3k points)
@pleopod exact same for me. I have good losses when I eat my weeklies over one or two days.
by (610 points)
@pleopod use all your points even though you are eating several zero point foods?
by (1.3k points)
@wineshop yep!

I don't use them on a regular basis. I'm one that believes this is a teaching tool and not a diet so I eat what I want and adjust my meals to fit my points. I think the weekly points are there so you can do this and stay within your points. I have only missed the blue for once in 4 months and I record EVERYTHING. I've lost 50# since July. Works for me.

No, weeklies are a just in case for me. I never eat them unless I have something special happening and will need the extra points for the day. That day I generally eat 0 point foods all day therefore have my day’s points plus the weekly points for the occasion.

I am 3 weeks into the blue program. I rarely use all my daily points. I am not sure if that is good or not

I always use my weekly points. I only get 23 points a day, which is very easy to use up if you do t stick to just zero point foods. I like to have variety, and some occasional treats, so the weekly points makes WW more do-able for me. I also don’t use artificial sweeteners or light/fat free products that heavily, so my points add up. I’m a lifetime member since 2005 and I’ve lost weight and successfully reached my goal on WW several times, always using all or at least most of my weekly points. That said, some people say they cant use them or prefer not to. So it’s really personal choice and experience. I would say that if you are really so full of food that you are consistently rolling over 4 points a day, you should take a look at what you are eating. Are you overeating zero point foods? Are you incorporating healthy fats, whole grains, different protein sources into your eating plan?

I only use my weeklies for my weigh in night! My sister and I always go out for a nice meal afterwards, nothing crazy, but that’s what I save my wheelies for
