Up three pounds in two days ‍♀️ I’m hoping it’s water weight but this kind of thing drives me crazy. Does anyone else’s weight fluctuate throughout the week line mine? I know I should just weigh weekly but I weigh every day or every other day. I had extra alcohol and sushi on Friday night. Wondering if it’s an accumulation of that. Otherwise I stayed in my points and have NOT gone over my weeklies. I rarely if ever do.

It's a scientific fact our weight fluctuates up to 15 times a week. That's why WW recommends you only weigh once a week on the same day and time. Being a slave to the scale isn't fun. ‍♀️

I can fluctuate 3 lbs in one day. That's why I only weigh myself in the morning.

I’m on prednisone for a groin injury. Holy Moly, I’m in a bad place.

@oech5771 Girl, me too! For hives. After 5 days of taking it, up 3 lbs.
by (12.5k points)
@cerebrovascular597 oh no. Today’s my last day.
by (12.5k points)
@oech5771 I still have 9 days left. I’m going to be on My 600-lb Life by the time I’m done.

It happens all the time, I'm down 37 lbs since September, 15 or 20 still to go. But I seem to go up 3 lbs every time I hit a new low and in a few days it goes away again.

You should only weigh yourself once a week at the same time! It’s normal that your weight fluctuates during the week

It’s probably the sodium from the soy sauce - this happens to me all the time - give it two days. you will be back down. I freak out too.
by (7.2k points)
@menis ditto every time i have sushi. Sodium kills next day weight

I weighed the morning and am up three pounds. I know it’s because I’ve had a lot of alcohol over the last few days as well as not eating the best. Tracking all my food but I just haven’t been making the best food choices. Today is a new day and I’ll do better. Im just trying to remember to give myself grace.

I weigh myself every single day for that reason. If I didn't I would assume I've been doing good because I stayed in my points but at the end of the week gained. By weighing every day I can adjust my food intake, more water or whatever I think I need and no huge (depressing) surprise come weigh in day even if it is a gain. At least I knew it was coming.

I weigh myself everyday n am rarely the same. this way I adjust accordingly throughout day. I always way first thing in am before I eat anything

I’m up 2 lbs this week and I’ve stayed within my points. sucks. Don’t know why except I haven’t been able to walk as much this week and I’ve eaten more WW snacks this week that I ordered that came in, but I stayed within my points. I don’t know. Frustrating.

I think I am a odd person I will not sweat it over 5 lbs , the weight will regulate itself out with in a day or two and learning your body or what caused the weight gain. For me when ever I eat rice or pasta 5 lbs overnight.
by (8k points)
@spanker7409 same with me. But i've gained 15pounds since this quarantine. So angry at myself. All I wanted to lose was 17lbs now I have to start all over again
by (850 points)
I have notice that I am not moving as much as I like so I have 2 apples , rice cakes , some skinny popcorn 4 cups and (3) turkey meat sticks on hand with mango flavored water and regular water big bottle 50 oz. On my coffee table I tell myself this is ALL the snacks today.

Yes , I’m like a yo-yo! So frustrating.  I find my body retains water from sodium intake so I have to be diligent the 2days prior to weigh in so I get some kind of loss.

I weigh every day and over time I have learned this: 1) expect your weight to jump anywhere up to or down 2-3 lbs daily - salt (lack of water) , sugar (remember alcohol is sugar) and simple carbs do this 2) don’t be afraid to use your weeklies - the plan accounts that you need to use 50 - 100% of these 3) try tracking your secondary metrics along with your plan - calorie counts are great and will let you see why you have gained from the day before 4) celebrate each new low! It’s your body working to loose that weight!

The Prednisone weight will come off on it's own when you stop taking it. Hang in there.

Everyone’s weight fluctuates like that. If you’re doing to weigh every day, you can’t compare day to day, you have to compare month to month. So track your weight every day for the first month just for data, then next month you can compare back to the previous month.

Body weight is supposed to fluctuate. its normal

Absolutely! Definitely the sodium in the sushi and alcohol. I weigh every day sometimes twice a day and can be up 3-5lbs in one day. if I drink tons of water workout and walk I loose it the following day. lots Of water , you’ll flush it out!

I get seriously bummed if I weigh daily, so I don’t. I stick to once a week weighing. I’m sticking to the plan so over time, I will lose and don’t need to check daily.

Don't let this throw you off track. That's what weighing every day used to do to me. Now after much research and WW experience, I look at before and during pictures as well as my measurements (also how my clothes feel) when I'm frustrated with the scale. With lots of water and staying within your points, it will definitely go back down in a day or two. Good luck!

I actually started weighing daily as an experiment to see how different foods affect my body. I still am eating with in my points but it has been enlighting to see how thins affect my water weight and bloated (gassenous) each day

It is from all the sodium. Drink more water. You would have to eat 10, 500 calories above your basic metabolic rate which is probably 1500 calories.

Weight fluctuates by 2-3lbs. I don’t let it bother me because it goes right back down in a couple of days. I’ve noticed it happens after eating a good meal or a dessert on my treat day. Then when I return back to my regular meals it goes back down
by (12.5k points)
@unwatched Exactly. I weigh every morning. Doesn’t bother me at all. If I’m up a little, I can figure out why and adjust something that day. If I only weighed weekly and was up a couple pounds, I would likely have no idea why and not know exactly what to adjust.

I love sushi, specifically a sashimi sampler. I can’t do soy sauce though because I generally gain 2-5 water weight lbs from the meal. I instead use Coco Aminos, which is 90 mg of sodium instead of 400

Everyone's weight fluctuates. Can be water can be many things that's why they say not to weigh every day but I do as well always have but now just recently started deciding to weigh myself on Wednesdays it's hard to stick to but that's the way that I write down. I have been tracking my food my weight my water and have an accountability friend and we both do our weight on Wednesday's now also alcohol makes a big difference I do not drink but a drink here and there I'm sure doesn't make a difference but those who choose to drink should really think about that it's a lot of empty calories that aren't necessary

Try to only weigh yourself once a week and you will be way less stressed . A lot fluctuates in the body throughout the day and doesnt mean anything. We didnt weigh ourselves everyday when we were over eating. No real reason to start now. It matters how you look and feel. I suggest getting a soft measuring tape and taking measurements. that's what really matters

Don’t let your mind play tricks on you. If you went down 3 lbs in two days after a heavy night of drinking and binge eating would you be freaking out? Take the good with the bad. It’s all good.

Lots of sodium in the sushi would make you go up. Your body weight fluctuates all day as you are eating and drinking, will even go up after having a shower. Naked weigh in as soon as you wake up is the one to go by.
by (12.4k points)
@plicate864 I find I weigh the least around 11 am which is right bf my breakfast - I get up by 7 but usually I’m at least a lb less by 11
by (510 points)
Yes. often I weigh LESS later on the day than first thing. Not always but often. Ots probably because I save most of my points for the evening

If I eat too much salt , mine goes up 2 pounds over night , I make sure I drink a lot of water the next day so I get rid of the fluid/salt gain .

I was listening to a lady talk about health and she said we can store up to 45 lbs in our bowls. I have not fact checked this, but perhaps it’s that?! Just saying
by (160 points)
@sasnett I kind of doubt that. Having a colonoscopy definitely “cleans you out” but I don’t think 45 lbs. maybe 4-5 if you are full of s****

I rarely go over my points and don’t touch the weeklies. I continue to lose/gain 3 pounds every week. Have been this way the whole year. I joined in July 2018 and had lost 50 pounds by the next July. I have been stuck since. I don’t know what to do anymore either.

All the time  it's maddening - loose 1 gain 2 or loose 2 gain 1 etc. I've been on since the end of February lost 5#'s and its up and down since. I've even picked up my walking and eat more free foods than anything and still at a loss of this. Not worth stressing so I'll go out on my own after this month, this is too maddening to me for all the time it takes to record and track, going to take what I know and go.
