I am on blue - I think it steers you towards making good choices by having some protein like tuna and chicken be 0 points. So you can get a filling meal. And anything processed or carb has a lot of points quickly, so that it forces you towards heather choices like fruit and veg. I love having fruit be free, but you do have to be careful not to over-indulge - especially bananas and grapes and fruits that have a lot of sugar.

@villanueva I agree with the bananas. I was out of them last week and lost 3. 2#. Thinking it was the bananas!

@intercourse . wow! That’s interesting. I eat a banana everyday. I’ve also been at a plateau for OVER 6 weeks. looks like I’ll skip the banana everyday

@codee also grapes, which I recently heard described as “little bags of sugar”!
by (3.9k points)
@villanueva . I love grapes too but I do not have those everyday. thanks again

@codee I love bananas with some PB2. I shopped today ( first time in 12 days. $327) so my banana supply has been replenished!

They give you 200 free foods +23 points daily. Beef is not free but chicken is. Download the app on your phone. It will help a lot. Also Pinterest in the search type in ww blue plan.

Not everyone gets 23 points, that's the minimum. Points are based on your age, gender, height and current weight. When you join, that's calculated for you.

@multiply87327 . not ALL chicken is 0

The points are intended to direct you to better food choices. Zero points does not mean “free” and you could still potentially gain weight eating too much of those foods. I have been successful eating lots of fruit though. Watch portion sizes and try to stay within in your points, use weeklies sometimes. You’ll do great!

It’s not only about calories but watching saturated fat, sugar and enough protein

I've been on blue for 6 months and lost 52lbs. I eat fruit every day but also make sure I'm not over doing it. I keep portion sizes and try to stay I the recommendation for amount for a day.

This has helped me when I have the need to snack and I’m short on points to pick carrots or a banana something healthier.

1 - the color they give you is just a suggestion based on the info you gave them; you are free to choose whichever plan you want. 2 - all fruit and most veggies are zero points. 3 - white meat chicken and white meat turkey are zero points as are beans, legumes, fish and shellfish. Zero points are not equal to zero calories, nor are they free. Portion control and serving sizes are important

As our leader told us. The 0 point food are typically foods that make you full and stay full and foods that we will typically not overeat. She also says that it is very unlikely that we will sit down and eat 10 apples, chicken breasts etc. but we could easily sit down and eat 10 oreos before we even realized it.

Use the app to track everything you eat. While 1 banana is zero points, 5 may not be. Not all meats/poultry are 0 points. For instance, 3 oz of lean chicken breast is 0 points, 3 oz of chicken thighs is not.

@coracle1912 if it's a food on the zero point list, it stays zero unless you make it into a beverage like a smoothie

All about portion control ♥️

by (1.9k points)
Portion control .  So one medium banana is 0 . that is NOT the same as thinking ok I can then eat 5 medium bananas in one go.  1 portion lean steak is 0. Research what a portion is for ALL 0 point food and track RELIGIOUSLY any gram or ounce over that portion.  Get your weigh scales out and leave them out where you Prep food and weigh EVERYTHING to start with including apples, oranges, fish everything and read packaging and the tinterweb for what is a portion. Xxxx

@lookout1 agreeing, zero point foods are meant to be eaten mindfully just to satisfaction, not 'all you can eat'. But a steak? On blue, light meat poultry (breast) and fish and seafood are zero point meats but not beef or pork although lean is low points

Beef isn't zero points. Scroll to the bottom of your app and click on More About Blue. On the WW website (same login) read under the myWW tab www. weightwatchers. com

If you have the app there is a chat button at the bottom where you can ask any questions yes fruits are zero but within reason bananas are zero but that doesn’t mean you can have 4 they still have calories so you do have to use common sense and just have 3 or 4 serving of fruit per day max I eat apples, oranges berries and usually but not everyday a banana I usually put it in a smoothly if I’m having one good luck!

If you type in a zero point item and say put in 6 bananas, it still comes out to zero, so people get confused on to why is it zero then? If it has to be portion controlled? It should say that you can only have this much of what ever it is to make it zero, after a certain amount it becomes a point value, like say up to 2 bananas are free but more than that the points go up,

Fruit doesn’t have as many calories as you think if you’re mindful of portion sizes.

Science has shown that not all calories are equal. Nutrition packed calories are handled very differently by the body than empty processed sugar/fat calories. The “Smart” part of Smart Points is that WW factors in the nutrition of a food. Two foods with the same calorie count have very different point values depending on nutrition. As for zero point foods - fruits and non start have veggies are zero on all plans. Plans where lean proteins are zero, have fewer dailies to compensate. WW really does work. We have been conditioned to believe that Weight Loss = Diet = Deprivation. WW is about balance.

The thing that many miss about zero point foods - they are meant to be eaten to satisfy, not stuff or binge. Personally I track zero point foods to be mindful of portion sizes. I still eat what I need to be satisfied and have found no reason to limit them. The key is mindfulness

I’m scared to eat grapes before I go to bed. haha I think that sugar had a negative affect in my weight loss even though it’s natural.
