When I was doing HHC, I didn't-and that started me down a really bad road of fast food and sweet tea. I can honestly point to that time as the beginning of my weight gain. So if I ever go back on the road I will definitely prep! Be safe out there

Yes! I packed everything I needed including snacks. That doesn’t mean I left things in my lunch box so I could splurge on something else.

I’m a L&D nurse and work 7p-7a. Meal prepping for me is a MUST. I always pack my lunch, snacks, and even a little extra just in case I’m really hungry. Otherwise, the stuff they stock in the kitchenette becomes wayyyyy too tempting!

I pack a cooler with some fruits and veggies, premeir protein shake, water, Diet coke, cheese stick, egg, etc. Then I throw in almonds, goldfish, popcorn to meet my crunchy, salty cravings. I also put in something sweet and low point besides fruit in case I have a weak moment! If you have it all in the car then pulling into a convenient store or a drive through is much less tempting. Good luck, you can do it!

I’m a private duty nurse and my prepping consist of boiled eggs for breakfast and breakfast muffins. I make enough for the week. Plus a yogurt or an oatmeal packet. For lunch I make zero point chili or taco soup with either crackers or tortilla strips. But sometimes I do a turkey sandwich on low cal bread with pretzel thins or WW chips.

Thank you all so much! I agree stopping by convenient stores is an easy go to but I’ve noticed I spend more money also. I had the gastric sleeve so i can’t eat a lot at one time but I’ve fallen off the wagon of eating right. I’m about to start on weight watchers. I appreciate all the input.

I’m a home health PT - I do pack my food for the day. I serve a rural area though so there aren’t many places to get anything otherwise. It does help me stay on track to not be tempted by gas station treats or fast food stops.

I wake up early. Pack my giant “lunchbox/cooler” with meals, drinks and snacks. On long days I have all three meals and snacks with me. It’s actually easier to be accountable than days off. Lots of leftovers so I don’t have to think about it. All my planning is from the night before or early morning.
