I have a question: does a person get bonus points per week or a "cheat day"? I've never quite understood that. I would like one cheat day a week on the day when I like to have a couple glasses of wine without feeling guilty. Thanks!

I have a “cheat day” on my weigh in days. I don’t go overboard though. I just let myself eat more and I also sneak in a few treats. I still lose every week. Just get back on track the next day and you’ll be fine

@oneal544 this has been the biggest help for me doing this too, it’s like a nice little relax day and then also makes me try even harder throughout the week

Do you use your weeklies during the week too when you have a cheat day?
by (290 points)
I do this too!

@improvident I feel exactly the same! It’s like my reward.

@disarming I don’t use my weeklies except for my “cheat day”

I think that’s what the “weeklies” points are for

You can use up to 8 weeklies in one day, on top of your regular daily points

You have weekly points to use how you wish. Some people use them all in one day
by (1.7k points)
@lower if you use them all in one day you will not earn a blue dot as the program is designed. But if you are happy and losing weight than do what makes you happy
by (1.4k points)
@lower how many weekly points do I get?
by (7.7k points)
@misconceive do you have the app? It’s on there
by (7.7k points)
@koester I didn’t say that’s how I use them. I said it’s how some do in order to have a cheat day
by (7.7k points)
@misconceive people get different amounts, so I can’t tell you how many you get.

There is no such thing as a cheat day. You are not on a diet. You are on a lifestyle change. Eat whatever you want, whenever you want. It’s all portion control.

On weigh in day I buy something for dinner i dont have to cook myself (I weigh at 6pm and eat after). It works for me. Weeklies allow for it.

It’s not cheating because WW is not a diet. It’s a lifestyle. Your weeklies are used on your ‘cheat’ days.

Use Activity points and weeklies for your wine

Please call it a treat, not a cheat. You need to do whatever you can to make this work. If that includes 2 glasses of wine per week, then figure out how to do that. Maybe make that a zero point day so you have the points for the wine. If you feel like you are losing something, this will not work. Best Wishes.

It’s not about cheating. It’s about planning. You can use weeklies however you want. Also if you eat fewer points each day some of these will roll over and can be used later in the week. The app will help you to know how many extra points you have for a special day.

@cotemporary79 on point!

There is no cheating on WW because nothing is forbidden. Cheating is diet mentality. You're only cheating yourself if you're not honest when tracking. ‍♀️

After I weigh-in Monday morning, I don’t track that day and eat whatever I want. I also don’t use my weeklies the rest of the week. I usually stick to my dailies every other day and sometimes don’t reach my max points some days. This works for me, down 30 pounds in 15 weeks. ❤️❤️

Please call them a treat day, not a cheat day!

@smarm why? Is there a rule about that somewhere on WW?

Cheat Day refers to doing something wrong. WW allows you to eat anything as long as you plan for it.

I use my dailies and save my weeklies for the weekend.

Some people count after they weigh for the week as a free day. It depends on you

Just use your weeklies (or rollovers). No such thing as a cheat day. That’s a thing of the past. This is a lifestyle (forever), no such thing as CHEATING.

Kirsten- that is the beauty of WW- you may have anything you desire- just work points into your day.

It may have been said, I haven't read all comments. But stick to your daily points and then save your weekly to use as a day to indulge. You actually "plan" your day, I personally don't like the word "cheat" as it implies your doing something wrong.

Factor in your wine on the day you want it then build the crest of your day.

I do ‘t do what everyone calls a cheat day. I just use some of my weeklies when need be.

I agree with the above about not calling it a cheat day. I like to enjoy things throughout the week and trap them, not going overboard. There are definitely some hard days. If I think I’m cheating it’s frustrating and I just go back to my old ways. It’s harder at time but It kind of hit me if I want to change I need to change my thinking. I just have to continue working and know it’s going to take time. You can do it!

Safer to have a “cheat meal” when a full cheat day can quickly get outta hand.

It’s something you have to decide for yourself. I’m sure it’s an experiment to see how you do. So go ahead and have a cheat day. Good luck

You can use weeklies but I really wish people would stop calling it a Cheat Day. it implies guilt. you should just plan, track and eat everyday. it's a Lifetime Lifestyle

As so many on this thread have stated, in different ways, you don’t NEE@pervious to “cheat” on WW! Just use your weekly points to indulge yourself occasionally. To me, “cheating” sets you up for a mindset of “I can’t possibly adhere to a healthy lifestyle”so I’m going to stop for ( a day, meal, snack) & then I’ll eat healthy again. You don’t have to stop eating healthy. We all got to the point of needing WW by cheating ourselves by overindulging cheat treats. Just my opinion!

You only need to cheat if you’re dieting. With WW you are planning to eat healthy and can plan anything that would be a cheat into your weekly meal plan.

I refer to it as my treat meal. Not a whole day, but enjoy wine appetizers and dessert.

I will tell you though it takes everything I have to keep me mentally on track I don't know about you but I am addicted to food. It's kind of like being an alcoholic for me if I eat chocolate or something that is decadent it would tend to derail me. I'm new and have only been doing is a short time. It might be different for people who have been at this awhile right now I cannot allow myself that luxury

Yes very hard indeed when we love food so much. Keep on the right path. Luxury comes in all forms at the end of our journey. Stay strong
