Any tips on the mind game? I am always starving and when i'm eating one meal i'm already thinking about when i'm going to eat the next. I have 5lbs to my goal but am getting discouraged. I gained 1lb this week- it was a rough week. But i am tired of thinking about food!
Any tips on the mind game?

I got to goal by realizing it’s a state of mind. I was making it hard when it wasn’t. I’ve been lifetime for more than three years

@ahmedahmedabad I just try to focus on the positive. At a WW workshop everyone seemed intent on talking about cheesecake  I couldn’t get it out of my mind. it isn’t even something I eat. I forced myself to think about food good for me and went for a run. I worked it out. Not always easy and we can slip, but for me it is worth ityou will make it!

I get it. Seems all I think about now is what can I eat next.

What about drinking a glass of water and waiting 30mins before eating x

A weekend of food prep is mandatory. You're more apt to eat what you're supposed to when its sitting in a container waiting for you to grab it

I eat breakfast and dinner. No food in between. I'm less hungry this way. I've lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks. We are also plant based

I keep grapes around and grab a few in between meals for snacking

I can honestly say on Purple I don't think about food. I am so satisfied. I eat and snack less. Loss 4 weeks in a row.

I think a lot of us the same thing at least if you are honest you do. In my meetings it’s universal. I don’t food prep but I’m retired so I really don’t need to time wise but when I grocery shop once a week I know what I’m going to be having of course giving leeway to a change in plans. We are all different what works for one doesn’t for everyone so try a few different ways to find your best way.

I eat cucumbers and drink water in between breakfast and lunch. And sometimes I eat Greek yogurt with sugar free jello mixed in it. They seem to help hold me over.

I put in my whole meal plan for the day, and if I have points left over, then I plan my snacks. If not, I hit up the zero point variety like apple slices sprinkled with stevia & cinnamon.

Do you plan meals. I start with what will i have for dinner ( or big meal ). And that lets me think what do I have left for the rest of the day? I find it’s hard to start out eating, and find I don’t have enough space for dinner points.

Look at the zeros. Have them on hand ( meaning - at the end of your arm), so when you grab something, it’s healthy and not a dingdong

@ahmedahmedabad I know exactly what you are talking about. I’m sticking to the plan but have lately become obsessed with my next meal!

I do WW  purple and get plenty to eat. Low fat, lean proteins, whole grains, high fiber. Lost 9. 5# in 2. 5 weeks so far.

I feel your pain. I do not think about food all the time, but I am a grazer.

This is controversial, but maybe put yourself in maintenance for a week or two to have a little more food and take a mental break. Then, resume weigh loss mode with renewed dedication to get to goal. Look up some new recipes, try a new exercise, shake things up to stay motivated! I’m a lifetime member since 2005, but I’ve had to work back to goal several times. This time, I’m taking it slow. It’s not a race, it’s about consistency and progress, so when I feel I’m burning out, I “put a pin in it” until I’m ready to reset.

Also, re-evaluate your goal. Are you in the healthy weight range now? If so, maybe consider making your current weight your goal, if you are really struggling to get lower. I’m 5’7”. My official WW goal is 153. I probably look best in the 145-150 range. I’ve been as low as 135 lbs in recent years. 150 lbs is just more East to maintain and is in the healthy range for my height (according to WW, I need to be 128-160 lbs). There’s no magic number, and sometimes we have to look at what’s attainable and maintainable for our chosen lifestyles.

You should not be starving. Are you eating protein? That will keep you fuller.

I was that way when I was eating sugar, once I removed it from my diet my hunger and cravings disappeared
