I’m turning 40 in a few days but apparently my stomach was ready to start celebrating earlier this week. Chocolate, cake, ice cream, nuts, candies - I’ve eaten it all and gained 3#. And somehow, I don’t even care. ‍♀️ Come Monday (after my bday party with all my favorite foods) I’ll be back to it but for now I’m going to enjoy. Still getting in my daily workouts so that’s all good. Life is about enjoying and as long as I get back on track, all will be ok. Anyone else done this for a special occasion?

Totally. There has to be some balance else what is the point. You, and I, seem to be doing this to enjoy life more, I'm doing it to feel better and take part in things. If you're the kind of person that can completely stay on track and not slip good on you too. I've found that totally denying myself leads to a big fall at some point. Also, it's highly unlikely slipping for a few days would land you back at square one. A gain is a drip in the ocean. Also, happy birthday :)

Absolutely. Went to Barcelona with my good friend. Ate chocolate pastries every morning and paella, tomato bread, hummous, calamari every day, drank wine, cocktails, sangria. 4 lb on, who cares?! I DID care that i put a pound on again the next week but the week after that 8lb came off in one go!

This is your journey! It’s life, you have to live and enjoy it! The fact that you know you need to get back to tracking after is key! This is why WW works.  Have a wonderful birthday celebration

I agree with @cerated, its your journey. Just jump right back on track after. Its so good to hear that you are good with it, continuing to do your daily workouts and not let this be a bump in the road. You have a great attitude about this. You will be successful!
