Hello all, I have an Pro2 camera that faces 2 openings. One of them is shaded, and the other one is not and at various times of day the sun makes it impossible to pick up images. The camera will sense the motion but the backlight washes everything out. Can I place a small piece of tinting film over the lens to filter the sunlight out? Of course I would want to avoid covering the IR sensor. etc. I also wonder how it would affect the night vision too.

I'd be moving the camera to the bright area. You could always try the tint film. Or you could adjust the brightness in the video settings. Not that I would still do it but this is where the HDR of the Pro 3 and Ultra cameras helps out a bit

Camera cannot be moved-hence the problem. Adjusting the brightness would make the image too dark at night.

I would imagine a tint film over the lens would do the same for night time

That's what I said in my original post.

Try your ideas then test it out. If those changes hinder the camera, you have no choice but to move it.
