I have the basic Arlo system with 8 cameras. I have great internet yet camera connectivity is poor. Some are 20 feet away. Any suggestions and would the new systems be faster and handle the distance better? Thanks!

What type of internet do you have and download and upload speeds do you have? What type of wifi signal are you getting on each camera?

So you have gateway that has built in wifi. Have you tried using own wifi router?

no. But does the WiFi matter? I have the base station wired to the router and I thought the cameras connected directly to the base station.

i agree that the WiFi doesn’t matter at all regarding the cameras connectivity. Have you tried moving the base station closer ?

they connect via wifi to your base station but if you are getting 2 to3 bars that should still be good.

I thought the max was 5. Guess you don't have the Pro2 system as I do.

Anyone try these? I know having an exposed wire is bad for some but just curious if anyone had any experience with this and the basic ARLO cameras.
