I am trying not to beat myself up, but we've spent outside our February budgets already. My 7-year-old son and I got the flu last week, and today he was diagnosed with pneumonia. Lots of unanticipated co-pays, medicines, we picked up lunch one day because he was hungry, and we had another doctor's appointment to go to, stuff like that. None of it is affecting our ability to cover our bills and expenses for the month, but it impacts our debt snowball and savings a bit and just has me feeling bummed and like I failed, on top of being stressed about his being sick. What do you do to feel back on track when you're already off track early in the month? I'm hoping I'll feel a bit better when I budget our paychecks on Friday and next Thursday.

I am right there with you. I tested positive with Influenza B today and have been down since Sunday. I feel so guilty because I haven't felt like cooking anything so we have eaten out a lot. But it's ok, we got this and you have to take care of you and your son! Hope you have a speedy recovery!

It’s ok. Recover and move forward. Life is always going to happen and God will bring things in our path that we cannot always plan and cover — but He can & will. U got this

Being sick is expensive. I’m right there with you last 5 days :( I’ve decided to just call this a wash and move on when feeling better. Hope your son is on mend soon.
