In my experience, I’d add to the audience before running. Just my experience though. Not in restaurants either

What is your initial objective? Are you running a reach or traffic objective? Both are inexpensive options for traffic. I would run an ad campaign optimized for landing page views. Then retarget those who’ve made it to your landing page. Once you hit 2, 500 or so landing page views, then you can run an inexpensive reach campaign to those people.

@teraterai342 i want to do an engagement 20% off for the weekend with people around the restaurant(3km) and with those custom for people who interacted with the page and ads before(i made 2 campg 3days eng and reach 100$ each). For the numbers on custom to grow, should i send them to the website to collect data or make a landing page send them there and collect info?

@bandy50 put yourself in the customers’ shoes and ask yourself ‘would I give my information to a restaurant that I’ve never been to all for 20% off? ’ If the answer is ‘yes’, then try the email capture. If you wouldn’t do it, then you could send them to the landing page. Retargeting landing page viewers by the specific URL. Show those customers 2-3 different creatives outlining different meal specials or whatever unique value proposition that the restaurant offers. Then have customers fill out an in-person 20% off voucher with a typical ‘how did you hear about us? ’ form in exchange for their info. If you decide to capture their info online, make sure you submit the email to a drip automation otherwise you’re collecting emails with no purpose.

The audiences are dynamic. They will grow while you run retargeting ads.
