When starting out should you run engagement ads first or just jump into purchase conversions?

If you’re trying to make sales always use the Purchase Conversion option regardless if your pixel has data or not. If you have extra money, run an engagement campaign along with it using the same ad.

@isa1 could be your targeting and or landing page then. also need to re-market to those who click and landed on the page. usually takes about 3-4 touches before someone actually pulls the trigger and buys. not all customers will buy the first time they view the ad and click

@isa1 imo=in my opinion. Yea a lot of courses out there but you can always find good free videos on YouTube that give great information as well. test test test is always key and know when to walk away and try something else. don’t get emotionally attached to a product that isn’t working. it’s all in the numbers

Would depend on what your goals are? If you need to drive purchases then conversions. If you're trying to build up a community or following use engagement. Ive seen engagement ads do well for pre-sale type campaigns and branding campaigns. but ultimately if you need to drive purchases right now go straight for the conversions.

Phase 1: Awareness In the first phase of a campaign, use video ad formats such as Instagram Stories, in-stream video and 360-degree video to maximize reach, video views and brand awareness. In the second phase of the campaign, use the traffic objective to re-engage audiences who watched videos in phase one. For this phase, try photo and video ads in carousel format or catalog ads. These ads included “Learn More” or/and “Book Now” calls to action, which directed visitors to a landing page or messenger funnel.

@deuno confirm for me 1 thing, this type of funnel requires much larger TOF budget to make sure you have consistent interactions being added to the pool for the second part of funnel ?
