Wisteria takes years to fully bloom

@fleischman they were already in when we bought the house 7 years ago. Last year on a different one we had 2 small flowers none on that one this year.

It might need pruning, we were always told to prune them twice a year to encourage flowers and not to let the long wispy runners go to far without a fairly harsh cut back

@boyt10 thanks for that we only prune once a year in November. When do you think is the best time?

The recommended is in the summer cut back long whippy growth to around leaves long, the cut the same ones back to three buds in Jan/Feb

I've had mine a good few years. Its usually given the odd flower, but last year there were none. This year it looks like this.
