Has anyone in the UK kept a sofa outside under a shower before? Not a garden one just a regualar indoor sofa? Garden sofas are so expensive!

Once it got wet it would rot & smell, also this time of years everything is nesting you may find it full of rats or mice underneath Look on eBay, Facebook market place, people are always upgrading, worth while saving up for

yes hun maybe not worth the risk. These garden companies know what they are doing charging the earth for garden furniture just a thought I got a lovely little rattan furniture set off Amazon for £139 last year it's a 2 seater sofa with 2 chairs and a little table but it's comfy enough x

I've had my out door furniture around 4 years still looks okay I got it one summer and added another couple of seats the year after ! Look after it it'll last years ! Xx

Regular sofas aren't water or damp proof. Even a leather sofa is not going to have fully waterproof seams. It will get damp and mouldy in no time. Also, it will most likely just look like you've plonked a sofa in your garden?

I'm currently sat on mine right now We ordered new sofas just before lockdown and then the tips shut, so husband went into the garage and got the gazebo out

I've got an old day bed with foam mattress I've used a table cloth as a cover for it and a tarp as shade and extra rain protection its been out all last ummer and its still fine its got wet a few times but dried out OK and not got mouldy yet

We have conservatory cane furniture under ours. Been out in all weathers for 3 years. It’s been fine. Cover in winter when not in use with a big plastic sheet, but rest of time uncovered.

It’ll get damp and mouldy, and it’ll be inside the cushions and framework. Also a perfect nesting place for mice. I wouldn’t do it
