Once it got wet it would rot & smell, also this time of years everything is nesting you may find it full of rats or mice underneath Look on eBay, Facebook market place, people are always upgrading, worth while saving up for

@vander694 yes hun maybe not worth the risk. These garden companies know what they are doing charging the earth for garden furniture  just a thought I got a lovely little rattan furniture set off Amazon for £139 last year it's a 2 seater sofa with 2 chairs and a little table but it's comfy enough x

You could try covering the fabric with shower curtains? Like loose covers.

Regular sofas aren't water or damp proof. Even a leather sofa is not going to have fully waterproof seams. It will get damp and mouldy in no time. Also, it will most likely just look like you've plonked a sofa in your garden?

I have one in my Summer house all year round but it’s just a cheap (£79) Ikea metal frame one with a washable cover over the frame

We have conservatory cane furniture under ours. Been out in all weathers for 3 years. It’s been fine. Cover in winter when not in use with a big plastic sheet, but rest of time uncovered.

It’ll get damp and mouldy, and it’ll be inside the cushions and framework. Also a perfect nesting place for mice. I wouldn’t do it

Cover it with a tarp at night
