Can anyone reccomended a climbing/rambling rose for a north facing fence? Or another evergreen climber. Thanks. been debating for ages what to grow on it  I'm massively overlooked but think it fight a loosing battle in trying to screen all views off so just like the idea of making it prettier instead.

Go on the David Austin rose website. You can filter it by rambling/climbing and then read through to find one suitable for north facing. Or if that’s a faff, their customer service team will give you a list of suitable ones.

We grew New Dawn on the North-facing wall in our last garden; it’s a lovely climber:

Do research the difference between a climber and a rambler: they do different jobs and are pruned differently.
