Hi I've bought u first Hostas don't know anything about them in in UK do they like shade , sun, watering?

Shade and water once a week until established.

Shade and a lot of water. they’re a marsh plant but they’re really hardy so will live in pretty much anything

There a bog plant best one I saw was just out of a pond in the gravel at the side

They're very happy in the shade and like things on the damper side. More sun will promote more flowers Slugs love them though.

Beautiful leaves in shade but in sun you get many more flowers. Keep watered this year but in future they should cope on their own as the roots go deeper in dry areas if not watered. In wetter areas the roots stay near the surface.

I have one in full sunlight all day, my brother has one in partial shade. Both same plant and halved. Mine is so much better, I just water it lots everyday. I don’t have problems with slugs anymore since I started putting used coffee beans all around it. It flowers Every year too.

I put crushed egg shells round the plant, slugs and snails don't like walking on them

They live through everything! I found one growing in a bag of old dirt that I threw away last year. Put it in a pot and it's growing lovely!
