Good evening!  I am looking for advice please.Good evening! I am looking for advice please. AstroTurf. We have laid sand (about 8 tons) and we need to smooth and compact it for the AstroTurf. I have read you need to hire a Wacker plate, but does anyone know if a roller will work? Thank you!

We’ve just done ours n hubby compacted with a length of heavy wood

Wacker plate will give you a better finish and it's so much quicker. you can usually hire one for a day fairly cheap to be fair.

Not to bad will easily pick it up within a few minutes. You will only need a small plate for that area.
