Looking for some advice please, my dog has ruined my grass  and its mostly mud now. What is cheapest having it slabed or artificial grass? Thanks

Box of grass seed :) I'd put some down with some netting over to stop the birds getting it and in 6weeks you're grass should be back to how it was :)

Gravel is the cheapest option for that. Same prep work for slabs as it is for artificial grass.

It will be quite challenging to get grass seed to grow if you have a dog!  And if you have gravel, some dogs love playing with it, or even eating it. So- artificial grass might be your best option. My dog walker has it, and at times she has more than 5 or 6 dogs in her garden.

@junkman that's what I'm thinking I put all grass seed down last year and he just skids up the garden and rips it all up

Could build a picket fence with a gate split garden into 2 so icleast have a area dog can’t destroy

@pollie I know it stresses the life outta me, then when he comes in he’s black then my kitchen and utility room gets absolutely plastered in mud! I’ve never mopped so much in my life!

My back garden is exactly the same. never in the 10yrs iv lived here has it been so bad. i thought about tossing the mud and putting seed down to get some new grass to grow. then thought about slabbing part of it and putting a fence up to split the garden up. my back garden is quite big. and iv 2 dogs. but it genuinely isnt them that has caused the mess. the rain and have bad drainage has done that!

Artificial grass will smell awful in summer with dog wee or poo on it not pleasant for your neighbor's
