Fork up that hard earth and rake flat so the seeds can germinate. Put down loads of grass seed and rake back over. Lightly press back down the Earth then keep it watered Evey morning and evening. You'll have a bangin lawn in a month or 2.

The soil looks compacted. You need to aerate it. Use a fork or you can buy spiked shoe covers and make lots of holes, about 2/3 inches deep. It also needs a good water and keep it moist. I water mine every other day

Use aftercut lawn food 3 days after mowing. Leave 2 days and water water water. it will be lush green all over xx
