Thanks to a tip off from someone in the group about Aldi’s primulas with 4 in a tub for £2. 99 each, I’ve just been down and stocked up! I’ll be planting them in a raised planter that’s off the ground but is it still a bit early to put them out?

They can go out straight away! Primroses are native to the UK and quite happy in our weather, though heavy rain can damage the petals. Great bargain you got there!

Sounds nice! I have a few dotted around my garden, they've been out since before Christmas and are doing well. Deadhead them every now and then and they'll keep flowering all Spring.

No they're early flowering perrenial plants, usually the first non bulb plants you see in spring, I've seen them come through snow & frost, the hybrids can be a bit more tender sometimes, but they're pretty rugged none the less. They'll disappear through the summer & reappear next year, so when they've finished flowering either transplant them into a bed or keep them in the tubs & plant the tubs up with summer bulbs & add a few snowdrops & miniature crocuses for some spring variety.

Broke the lid of a pretty serving dish so planted these from Lidl. Don’t want to put it outside yet as there will probably be a few frosts and it will crack.
