Fork it then Brush sharp sand into the fork holes. This will help with drainage. Thin out any overhanging branches to decrease shade.

No need to buy any products. Rake it. Even if you use chemicals you will still need to rake up the dead moss. Spike with a fork. It’s been a wet winter but will get better in spring

Scarifying is the best then spread some seed around the area

Find out why its there, usually environment. Either lack of nutrients or lack of light, check for trees/fences. Shade will cause moss growth as grass likes more light

If you keep moss it will cause a bog and absorb all the water it will eventually consume the grass too . Each year I but iron of sulphate from wilkos £5 approx mix it with water in a water csn and pour onto lawn. One year I raked up all the dead moss took ages and now I don’t even bother just mow when dryer . It will turn black but will help your grass and doesn’t kill the lawn . Also just sprinkle some grass seed later to top up the patches.

As @wilcox18117 says. Spray with iron Sulphate (moss killer) this month and scarify next month. Then overseed and topdress or Just seed the Bald Spots like I do and cover with topsoil. Now aftercare depends on how hard your scarifying it if your going hard like near enough nothing just soil at the end of the seeding and that it will take around 6-8 weeks to come back and needs watered everyday for atleast 4 weeks. If your doing a light scarify the seed the Bald bits I'd only water it for 2 weeks but may need done again in August.

Elbow grease and a lawn rake but I would personally wait for the drier weather to arrive first.

Mine was full of moss and patchy 2 years ago dont think the old owners bothered with it that much . So I kept scarfying with a rake in dry weather then seeded bare patches and put compost on water well Then in november time I go over lawn with a garden fork and aerate . Its a work in progress to get it looking good but worth it mine looks lush this year
