Cut back to first bud, but iv cut some back to make smaller plants and their doing fine

I cut them back about year ago and look how they come bak

Normally early March. Cut back to nice strong pair of buds. Using a straight cut. Think of the shape of the bush while pruning.

Depends where you are wait till frost stops then cut back to the first bud/leaves

Not yet till we are sure of no frost or snow. You'res looks tall so when its time cut down as you wish and cut the dead wood out as well love the first it will soon grow back . x

Don't do it yet the old stems are protecting thew young shoots. The same with Fushia wait until there is no risk from frost
