You can save it don’t worry, you’ll need to sand it where the wood is lifting but you can then paint over it again x

by (1.2k points)
@thimble99 I didn’t have big bits out of it. It pressure washed off well. But the Cuprinol is thick as it’s anti slip x

Shouldn't really pressure wash any wood really . let it naturally dry now, look on eBay for a product called olotroll, you add it to paint, it feeds and will totally waterproof your wood, it's actually mostly used on wooden hull boats.
by (1.7k points)
@munson94 ah wow thanks for the advice!  I'll certainly have a look!
by (4.7k points)
@thimble99 it's a bit pricey but if it stops a boat rotting it'll be bang on for a garden deck ether that or h Get some of this (bit of comedy)

Just use decking oil. The amount of posts on here about people painting their decking is nuts. Think admin should put it up as a pinned post
by (860 points)
No offence meant but im surprised decking paints still available
by (700 points)
@karwan Dorner I agree with you mine peeled off like paper , total wast of money and time
by (860 points)
@trixi the amount of grief it causes people and false advertising claims. It could genuinely become a huge compo claim if a solicitor takes it on
by (700 points)
@karwan Dorner you have a really good point
