I've always been curious about that. you'd think mid day there wouldn't be much action since people are at work

@someway Many spontaneous conversions happens in work, in my case, there people share theire opinions and get advice about products.

. which means people also are manning the phone lines, chat service and e-mail support, which leads to higher conversion rate.

I use hourly bid adjustments (a script) based on conversion data for manual cpc. And test also target CPA or ROAS. Sometimes the algorithm does a great job, sometimes manual cpc performs better.

All depends on the type of conversion. Before you go and assume, check the conversion arbitration modeling to see, as it may be your conversions take place between 5pm and 8pm, but that’s due to a heavy influence click that comes in at 11am to 1pm

If you're using smart bidding then bid adjustment are overridden anyway.

That's true - with one interesting exception within tCPA: "Device bid adjustments for Target CPA allow you to prioritize conversions by device. You can set adjustments for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Unlike bid adjustments for manual CPC, your bid adjustments for Target CPA modify the value of your CPA target, rather than the bids themselves. " .

Oooh. Interesting. I can't think of a scenario where conversions are worth more on different devices though. A lead is a lead, a sale is a sale. I'm sure there are some though.

Yes. If wednesday 1300 - 1800 shows 25% higher conversion rate than average, I will use this data to set bid adjustments. Not using this data would be a shame, no?

If data tell us, we should try. As same as for device biding or anything else.
