Hi guys!  I am helping one friend to set up her conversion tracking on her website (it's an online school).Hi guys! I am helping one friend to set up her conversion tracking on her website (it's an online school). The only way to get in touch with her is by e-mail, and she really doesn't want to build a form due to previous experiences, so I don't even bother her with that anymore. So it is only her email address lying there and if one wants to get in touch usually it's a copy and paste of that e-mail. How is it possible to track that? Thanks in advance!

Do you want to track the conversion by the activity when someone copies the email id?

Yes, I was wondering if that was possible since we don't have submission form

Dont put email link to the "Email text". You have to put conversion code "On Click" of the button / <a> tag. Then you can track that conversion it shows at Google Adwords campaign rows. Another method can be manual. You just have to call jquery ajax and take a database entry and in return simulate the click on the link. However this is not the recommended way. Convince her to get the form and if needed use anti-spam codes.

Thanks Sourav, I'll try again to convince her to put form on the website, it's the best way.

Just track the click on the button. Don't think there is another way since you can't track interaction in the email window pop up. However it seems quite a shitty tracking method.

Thank you Abraham, that's what I was thinking as well. I'll talk to her and see if I can convince her to put the submission form back.

@turves I know, I was on the same situation with a client once and tried that method. Beside being quite unreliable I registered almost no clicks, I guess people just managed to copy/paste without clicking. But if someone comes up with a better solution I'm all ears. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing Abraham, being unable to track the performance sucks, gets hard to build any report
