This is definitely not the program to do while breastfeeding correct?! Ugh seeing everyone’s amazing results but I have a newborn who I breastfeed. I was on this program before getting pregnant.

I did IP to lose 65 lbs before getting pregnant. I’d like to lose more but have to wait to do IP till after I’m done breastfeeding. I’d doing keto right now, with slightly higher carbs. There are some great groups I can recommend.

You are correct. You don’t take in enough calories.

No, not enough calories. If you are breastfeeding, weight will come off if you're eating well and nutritious foods.

I did and will again after I deliver. they can modify the plan so you still get enough calories. I would just wait until you have a well established supply

Correct. Shouldn’t do it while breast feeding.

Maybe consider a Keto diet where you can consume good fats and more calories.

Breastfeeding will help you lose. I pumped/breastfed both my children whilst working 80 hours a week at the office. You will shed the weight if you eat clean. Please do not do IP while pregnant or breastfeeding. Use the IP approved sheet and select lean animal / poultry / fish protein and definitely eat all the IP approved low-glycemic veggies but the packets contain many derivatives and chemicals. Also - the protocol will have you only eating 500-650 calories in the US and 700-850 in CANADA. Your milk supply will diminish if you do not try for closer to 1000 cals a day. Depends on how tall and how old you are. If you breastfeed exclusively, you will burn 800 cals a day. As you introduce solid foods to your baby, your burn rate decreases. I would wait until your baby is on solids before joining the program 100%. But definitely use the sheet approved animal proteins and veggies. It’s very healthy and loaded with vitamins. But eat more. You and your baby need the energy. Congrats Mama!
