Question

I am attempting to move a website that is currently on a server through a reservation booking platform on WordPress. They built the website for free but it's on their server. I was able to go to tools and export the all of the content. Has anyone ever transferred over a website before? The last thing I want to do is crash my rankings before the tourist season begins.

Do you have wp admin access? If yes there is hope, if no. Good luck & have fun in manually recreating the entire thing

@tooth201 thanks, I believe I may be staying on the multisite since I can’t seem to break away in a clean way that won’t destroy my rankings

I've transferred loads of sites, no issues.

What level of access do you have to the site? the hosting environment? if you have admin access to the wordpress you can use a backup plugin like updraft plus to create a full backup and then restore it to a wordpress install on your new host- the site should be exactly as it was before. If you have admin access to the host you can create a backup of the hosting environment and restore the backup to your new host. if you are part of a wordpress multisite install it gets a little trickier to get everything broken out away from the multisite.

@griffin8 I don’t have full admin access. I can’t install plugins. The most I could get to was tools, then export. I believe I am part of a wp multisite
