Doh!  I received my InternetThings hub and I’m struggling already!Doh! I received my InternetThings hub and I’m struggling already! I plugged it into my router and it’s trying to find wifi. can’t I just enter the damned wifi details? lol

What type of hub ?

@silvas62226 You have two options for connecting your SmartThings Hub to the internet. One is Wi-Fi the other is an Ethernet cable. Whenever you have a choice between Wi-Fi and Ethernet than choose Ethernet. Once you get the hub setup it will be communicating with services (cloud) from several sources. An Ethernet connection is faster, more secure and not subject to interference from your neighbors Wi-Fi and devices in your home such as a microwave. Your choice

@silvas62226 is yours not finding wifi or just getting stuck when it tries to update firmware? Mine kept sitting at 0 percent and wouldn't do the initial firmware update. Took some playing around.

@sang92 not finding it I guess. App says to plug into router, wait for flashing red/green and hit next. I hang on this screen

@silvas62226 Don’t plug into the router if you want a Wi-Fi connection.
