Zwave or zigbee just get an AC powered device of that protocol that's also a repeater (most AC powered devices act as repeaters). Wifi is a different animal

Peanut wall plugs are fairly cheap on Amazon and work as zigbee repeaters. There is an iris branded plug that you might find used on eBay that can repeat both zigbee and zwave. but they tend to be not as cheap.

These plugs are zigbee, and your sensor is zwave, they won't help it, you need a zwave repeater
