Have had a ST sitting in my garage for almost a year. Guess the converting away from wink will start this weekend. Is there a good How-To that anyone has seen to convert over?

First rule of thumb, check that you’ve exclude all your zwave and ZigBee devices before you shut down your wink hub so that they are ready for easy pairing with ST. Start with pairing the zwave and ZigBee mains powered devices first and then move onto the battery powered devices.

@tuttifrutti can we do this with Wink servers down?

Yes, zigbee devices can be factory reset and ZWave general exclude can be run from any hub (even a separate manufacturer) it's just easier to do if you can do it before you kill your old hub.

@pixilated it is advisable to do it early because of any of the devices are using the anti theft features then you will not be able to use them without having the original controller exclude them (ie if Wink doesn’t exclude the anti theft class it won’t pair with ST).

@tuttifrutti when I changed over my cabin I left the wink hub active and moved devices one at a time (exclude from wink, add to ST). You can do that up until the 13th of this month. I only had trouble with one device but I was able to exclude it with ST after shutting down wink. It was a LOT easier to do than I thought it would be.
