I tried weight watchers back when there was only one point system and did great. which method is best now? With exercise, how much did you lose in your first month?

I was on blue before I got pregnant and lost 15lbs! Then I got pregnant and stopped. Will definitely use again once baby arrives! The three different point systems are supposed to make it more helpful and easier to support different lifestyles. I believe there’s a quiz you can do to help determine what’s best for you! Once you know what fits you best, you just stick with that.

I am on green which was the plan years ago. Just take the assessment and see what you come out with. Try it for two weeks and if you don’t like change

All the plans result in the same weight loss. You’ll answer a series of questions and a plan will be recommended for you. Green has most points less zero foods, purple has least points more zero point foods.

@halberd not true. They don’t all lose the same
by (3.2k points)
@overlong11 according to WW it does
by (13.9k points)
@halberd then why do people keep changing plans?
by (3.2k points)
@overlong11 just because of different people’s preferences. Like I do purple bc I love whole wheat pasta and brown rice.

If I want to change to green, how do I do that?

Slow weight loss helps to not gain it all back faster.

Are you only planning on having the weight loss for one month? Then why ask about how much you can lose in a month? I find it frustrating to hear people wanting to lose weight quick. That's not what WW is about nor a real solution.

@proptosis871 I find it frustrating that you just made that assumption. I ask because I know the first month you generally lose a little more and going forward, it’s about half of that per month. I specifically asked because that was my personal experience and simply wanted to gauge the feedback without complicating the question. I never intended to “lose weight quick” but manage my PCOS and the few lbs I previously gained after speaking with my PHYSICIAN and deciding weight watchers along with minimizing dairy would be a great start in terms of nutrition/everyday diet. Have a great day and good luck on your journey though

Do the green it’s most like the old system. Other plans give you too many 0 pt which is why people gain on those plans.

@canthus10 I’m actually going to a meeting tomorrow to make a final decision but I’m leaning towards green. Thanks so much!

The plan you select really depends on you and your lifestyle. I do purple and I walk 50 to 60 minutes a day. My walks are VERY brisk.

Everyone is different, we all lose at our own rate, so comparing my journey to yours will not be the same. It will take as long as it takes, and I am ok with that because there is no need to rush. Enjoy life, and be happy.

The most recent prior to this new one is equal to blue and the plan before that is equal to green. I am very happy with blue because it's right in the middle with points and 0 point foods. Purple gets the least points with 300 0 point foods, blue has 200 and green has 100 with the most points. So green has flexibility to use points on anything (including foods that are not ideal) while purple requires really good portion control on 0 point foods and has less points that can be used for foods that are not 0 points. Look at each list, think about what you eat, your lifestyle, and your goals to determine what seems best for you. You can always try something for 2 or 3 weeks and switch if it doesn't work for you.
