How do you guys track things like if you go out to some ones house for supper. For example: every Sunday we have family supper (it rotates from house to house) so last night we went to my sister in laws. She had homemade chili and garlic bread. I had a ladle full of chilie (1 cup? ) and a small piece of garlic bread. I had lots of points left because I planned for it (had no idea what she was making) and I still have all my weekly's. so I didn't worry about it. But just curious when you don't know the ingredients?

I tend to go to the high side of what I think it might be so I'm covered.

I ask if I can bring a salad, then add lots of fresh veggies to it!

@natalia5324 I just say I have changed my lifestyle, no further explanation needed. However since I have lost a significant amount people have noticed and I give props to WW.

@glyndaglynias long time WW here. Don’t let what others say bother you. You know you are eating healthy and having many health improvements besides loss of weight. Say thank you if the comment is good and toughen up about any comment that is negative. You own no one any explanations.

I just guesstimate based on recipes or restaurants in the app

You just have to do the best you can. Or, if you feel comfortable doing so, talk with the host ahead of time

Just do your best to estimate the points. The important thing is that you give it a number.

Ask them what is in it and build a recipe or search for something similar and use those points. Sometimes it is hit or miss but as long as we try and account for something we are doing well

It isn't the answer that you want, but this is LIFE. Do the best you can with what you have and don't sweat the small stuff. We are traveling a long and winding road, with many unexpected twists and turns. You did commendably on portion control. besides that's in the past. Go with wisdom and you'll be fine.

Just guesstimate using your best judgement because no one anne perfect all the time. Strive for progress, not perfection!

Take your best shot at deconstructing what you think is in or look for something similar from a restaurant. Sometimes I’ve just done a quick add for Misc and picked a number The most important thing is to enjoy your family time.
