I’ve really fallen off track lately. I’ve had a lot of family stuff going on and it’s been hard to be good to myself. I’m not doing this to lose weight but to feel good. I don’t feel good at all. I’ve definitely gained weight and I can feel it. What does everyone do to get themselves out of a funk? I feel like I’m in one and I can’t get out of it. Thanks for listening. ❤️ *Thank you all so much for the love and support. Your kind words have motivated me to start the day off right and continue on with good habits. You all reminded me why I started this journey. I realize I’m not alone, so to those of you struggling like me, do not dispair. We can do this. We have each other for love and support and can do this together.

@shame - if it helps you are not alone. I almost quit today because the program is just not working for me. I’m always hungry and although I do feel better there’s a part of me that feels deprived counting points and measuring food. I know I need to lose this weight but am at a crossroad right now.

@compete1 Don’t quit. We can do this. If not for our present selves, but for our future selves. ❤️

@compete1 if you are always hungry are you getting enough of the good fats (olive oil, avocado etc)? These are worth the point and necessary for good health. Fat keeps us satiated and is our friend.

I am in the same boat. So difficult to think about myself, tracking, meal planning when I am taking care of my mom with dementia and a new diagnosis of lung cancer for my dad. My life, especially the comfort of food is out of control right now. My caring of my parents is going on 9 months now and my body is showing it!

@delfinadelfine425 My 93 year old grandmother just moved into a nursing home. I feel you. Sending love and good thoughts your way. We can do this. ❤️

Make your why (are you doing this) more concrete. to feel good is far to general to motivate your through tough time so get very specific with your why and then think about it every day. Examples: I am doing this so that I can walk 3 miles, or 5miles, or so that I can get off some medication, or to be more active with my kids or grandchildren, etc.

I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. I tell myself just today. Just today I’m going to track and stay within my points. It surprising that once you have a good day how motivated it makes you feel to have another just today the next day.

@appraisal125 I’m prepping my lunch and weighing and measuring everything. Baby steps. I think writing in this group helped immensely. ❤️

Family gatherings etc throw me off track too. I’ve been in this too long to quit because of a few set backs. I know that if I don’t keep going no matter what I will be up those 50 lbs in no time at all. It sure doesn’t take long for that to happen. I get out those old pictures and think how did I allow myself to look like that. Guess what started me on this path was looking at those pictures. an ah ha moment. I go to meetings and they help me renew each week.

@parmenides Revisiting my why helps immensely. Thank you for the reminder! ❤️

Start new day. Sit down and plan your day. Surround yourself with plan friendly food. Put what you need to eat into your tracker and follow it. Repeat! You can do this.

Just a thought for you I have a closet of clothing that I don't fit into. I went thru it made it look neat then I took a picture. Place this picture on my cell phone for my main picture every time I open my cell it reminds me of why I am doing it. Take a picture of why you are doing this and place it on your phone or fridge what ever works for you. The best advice is ever morning is a new beginning please remember this

Make a shopping list and stick to it. Avoid eating out for a while if you have to. Just like riding a bike the habits will come back.

I have struggled this week as well, more than I've struggled since I started. I had dental work done today and can't work out today or tomm either which really bothers me because if I take days off it's easier for me to keep taking them off. I am just going to try and walk tomm and get back on track with my eating tomm. I had shrimp sweet potato casserole and mac and cheese tonight and not being able to work out either has me feeling awful!
