I need to know the best way to detox after a bad day/night. I ate half a bag of chips with onion dip and I feel absolutely horrible today! I plan to eat well and exercise, but any other suggestions?

TMyth. That much water would also flush out vital vitamins and nutrients. The body just doesn't take out the salt.

@findlay - I didn’t give a quantity. Everyone needs to drink fluids. And as long as she’s still eating, the nutrients will be replenished. And to ensure electrolytes are replenished, she can drink coconut water, eat watermelon, drink milk or sports drinks.

@marmawke Everyone needs to drink fluids? Really?! I am amazed at this revelation. Didn't give a quantity? Then "plenty of water" could be 2 cups. So coconut water, watermelon, milks, sports drinks are part of the water equation or additional liquids? If you're not a medical professional. well, I'll let you furnish your expertise.

@kordula for one serving I do: 2 green apples 1 lemon 1-2 inch ginger 4 celery stalks 1 cucumber 1 carrot Half a large bag or one small bag greens (I like spinach and chard they best but also use kale and collards, whatever is on sale really)

Don’t dwell on it. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Just move forward and don’t look back. It’s ok to get off track. no one is perfect. And in the long run. over the length of time of your weight loss journey, this tiny blip is not even a speed bump. Just drink lots of water and get back in track. Don’t punish yourself or try and make up for it with extra exercise or less food, just keep going.

Ok. so when I had kidney stones. my urologist told me that you don’t necessarily have to be crazy about it and FLOOD yourself away with huge amounts of water! It’s NOT ONLY the quantity of water that you drink. Water and fiber are present in many healthy foods. So go ahead and eat lots of things like cucumbers, celery, tomatoes and salads salads salads!

Oh @pupa455 I am the Queen of detox. I hae been a sugarholic for years. What stops the horrible cravings and helps me to get back on track is: Apple Cider Vinegar. IT WORKS Here is how you do it: First, it needs to be Braggs ACV. Because it is " with the mother"

Continuing detox method: take 1-2 oz. of Braggs ACV and mix with 2 oz. of water. and chug it down in one or two big gulps! do not try to sip it. You need to get it down fast. If you do this after each meal, you will be in much better control. Continue as long as you need to . It can not harm anything and an oz. of ACV every day has great health benefits also. In fact, you could go to Braggs, web site to read about them. I not only do this for myself, I experimented with other WW's and it worked for them also. I did that with them over 10 years ago. It still works for me when I get off track. Do not try to drink ACV straight without water. It is too strong and can hurt the enamal on your teeth. That is why you need to dilute it with water. After drinking your shot down, you can drink more water afterwards if you feel you need it. Good luck. My prayers are with you to get back in control. I was feeling the same yesterday and gave in to the chocolate. And guess what I used today to help me? you got it. And I feel like i am in control at the moment. Plus there was a full moon last night. That tends to increase the emotional anxiety of sensitive people. Wishing you the best
