I’m letting the scale consume me. Getting on that scale and seeing the number tells me what kind of day I am going to have. I have come so far, lost 55lbs last year but hit a plateau and fell off the bandwagon. I was able to maintain but December was hard and I gained. I recommitted this month, I’m back to tracking, and exercising but the scale doesn’t care. I’m up 8lbs and it’s got me so down. I can tell that my body is less lean, my pants don’t fit the same, and I am so unhappy with myself. I have 18-20lbs to go and for the first time since starting WW it feels unobtainable. I can’t give up, I can’t go back! I reached out to WW support this morning, I’m online only. She said switch up my meal plans and up my exercise. Well gee thanks, I hadn’t thought of that! For those of you who hit plateaus or lost momentum so close to your goal how did you break through?

Yea, they are ALOT  of help. I also reached out to them and they told me to research on the internet. WOW, it doesn’t cost me anything to do that what are you for . You CAN get back to it and succeed.

When I hit plateaus I do a couple of things— i so less processed and carb and salt items for a few days— I attempt to measure zero point foods throughout the week— I actually use more weeklies than usual — it seems when I do that it helps. Normally I don’t measure 0 pt foods, I don’t use lots of weeklies. Because I’m 55 I have overall had to watch carb, sugar, processed and dairy- that’s helped a lot. I reached goal in December but not without a bunch of weeks of losing . 2 or staying the same. Keep going- it really does even out — also if you along w your doctor don’t feel your Ww goal is correct- you can get a doctors note to adjust. Someone in my Ww meetings said when I started- losing weight is hard, being overweight is hard - choose your hard- really stuck w me. Also when people in my group plateau they have switched to a different color Ww program. Congrats on losing 55- that’s awesome! You have rocked it so far!

Can you try switching to a different color plan and see if that gives you a boost!

First of all do not weigh yourself everyday. I only get weighed once a week! Your weight will fluctuate everyday. Don't let the scale be your guide! It has a lot of power! You can do this! You did it before & you can do it again!

Drink at least half your body’s weight in ounces of water. Don’t eat after dinner- or at least keep a snack to about 3pts. I also think I lose more-and its more sustainable- if I use all my point and some weeklies. If I try to stay off them, by the end of the week im just binging and not tracking because im starving. You’re doing great and you got this!

You can do it just take time to reflect on your Why and get back to the basics. Yes you can do it because you are worth the effort.

Switch to green where there are fewer zero point foods. Maybe you were eating too many of those. I don’t weigh myself everyday either. Once a week is all. Perhaps limit your carbs. Good luck

I could have written your post! Exact same right now! Trying to make better choices each day - remembering how good working out and eating clean makes me feel! Getting Back to basics and meal planning, drinking my water and getting in my steps this week has made a difference! The scale dropped a bit - hoping to keep it going down - don’t want it to go up! All you can do is one day, one meal at a time! You’ve - we’ve - got this!

I’m with ya. I fell off the wagon over Christmas break and it was super difficult to hop back on after. I was up 5 pounds and was so frustrated with myself! I started tracking religiously and trying to fit in workouts more often. We can do it! Hang in there and just don’t give up!

Keep your head up! You can do it. I'm there with you but I'm not giving up. I was about 4 lbs from goal but now I'm like 13. I've come to far now and so have you!

I can relate. the # on the scale in the AM determines what I choose to eat or not eat during that day

I hit a plateau also, I think everyone does. you just have to stick with it. I know easy words to say. but so true. don't let the scale get the best of you. you can break through it. and yes change things up a bit, even it you don't change what plan you follow, change up food choices.

The scale is a dirty rotten liar, , stop getting on it, go for your weigh ins once a week and even then, dont let it mentally sabotage you, , , , keep on the plan, if you mess up, get back on the plan, , , no in the morning, not the next weigh in, , get back now, , you will feel better, , do not let your mind try to trick you, , you show that you can do this, you want to do it, , so, , do it, , let us know how you make out, , you are not alone, , , , ever, , ,

I have no advice but you can do this. You LOST 55 POUNDS! You lost 55 pounds. You have already done this! Just do it some more. The journey is where you end up, not all the bumps along the way. You’ve got this!

Hey girl break that 20lb down! A healthy weight loss is 2lb per week So that’s 10 weeks NOW break that down further. 2 pounds per week is a 1000 calories a day So, if your BMR is 2400 cals, eat 1400 cals a day and you should drop your 20 pounds in. No time!

Stop standing on the scale everyday, it's consuming you. Pick a day and time and only weigh youself that day.

I love all of these ideas. I would say preplanning meals and pretracking daily points are key. Just do your best every day and when you wake up, it’s a new day- so start over and do it again. If you have a day that you didn’t follow your plan, move forward. Don’t give up or punish yourself. You can do this!

Stop giving the scale God the power to set your mood! Only weigh once a week. Weight loss slows down the closer you get to goal. Also if you are exercising you're building muscle which weighs more than fat. I'm an x weight watchers leader. I've stopped being accountable and stopped tracking, therefore I've gained my weight back. However, uts never too late so I'm starting anew.

I have been on a plateau/see saw of losing and gaining the same 5 lbs for the past year and a half and those gains have little to do with what I am eating. In fact, I'm on my 5th consecutive week of daily exercise and I actually weigh more! I, too, am 15 lbs from my goal so I feel your frustration. However, I know I eat well, track everything (including 0 point foods), exercise, drink lots of water and follow the plan. I'm 46 and know that hormonal changes are wreaking havoc with my body and that I can only do the best that I can. This isn't as easy as when I was 30! I'm going to ask my doctor to adjust my goal weight (I think paying WW monthly for almost 9 years is enough! ) but I'm not giving up. I always remind myself that I've lost almost 60 lbs and kept it off for close to 10 years. I'm doing great even if that stupid scale doesn't tell me what I want it to. Don't give up. you are doing great!

When I fall off and eat unhealthy my body is craving bad things . I do a 24 hour cleanse with just water and mineral drops . and then break my cleanse with juiced veggies and then I start to crave healthy again. after that I stick to a 8- 16 where i only eat in eight hour window( choice your 8 hours) and fast for 16. watch (thomas delaur , intermitting) fasting) on utube it will break your Plateau and you ll feel unbelievable. the mineral drops have Sodium Magnesium, and potassium, so your not hungry and you ll have what you need I once did for 48 hours with no hunger at all lost 3 lbs and jump started me again . oh and you can also drink black coffee , tea. And if your hungry bone broth. But not as hard as you think fill a gallon of water and put 25 drops in and drink all day.

First- I would say stop weighing yourself everyday. That can sometimes be a detriment. And second, Have you ever heard of HAPPY Coffee? It has been like a miracle for me! I’m in love w/ it. I had plateaued on WW, too. Happy Coffee was a game changer for me. It makes it sooooo stinking easy to make great food choices and it honestly cuts out all sweet & carb cravings. It has been a miracle for me. I’m down 26 more pounds!

@bring194 what is happy coffee? Where do you get it?
by (220 points)
@collaborative , It’s wonderful. A friend actually introduced me to it. and I was nervous about it so got my Dr. to check out the ingredients——but, the joke was on me when I found out his own wife and seversl of her friends drink it.  He explained to me that it was all natural plant based ingredients that get naturally gets your 4 major hormones in balance. D-Dopamine O-Oxytocin S- Serotonin E-Endorphins ***and that’s why it’s called “DOSE” of Happiness. I tried it and I love it! I was so skeptical at first. I honestly wish I could buy it for everyone I know. That’s how much I love it. LoL. I was about to break the bank trying to share it w/ all of my friends, and my sweet husband was like what are you doing Baby? haha- but I couldn’t keep doing that do I signed up recently to have the little ordering link. Do you like coffee? No worries if you don’t, because I wasn’t even a coffee drinker and I really love it. I do put liquid Hazelnut Coffeemate creamer in mine.  There is also a hot chocolate & a lemonade for ppl who are sensitive to caffeine, too.

@bring194 sounds awesome. I love coffee. So do I just go to a health food store and buy the separate ingredients? Very anxious to try this
