It all begins in your head. Why are you doing this and how will you feel as you make progress along the way?

Put in shorts or ur bathing suit and take a hard look. I did that on Sunday. It’s a reminder but a tough one

Focus on 1 thing at a time, 1 meal, 1 pound, 1 walk. Take it little by little. It’s less overwhelming then.

Tracking all meals. No matter if they are good or bad. Bite it you write it.

Whenever I lose motivation I try to focus on just staying within my points (including weeklies daily, still earning a dot for the day) not on eating “healthy”. it helps me refocus

I always try to think of the Phrase Nothing Taste as Skinny Feels. Also, I take it 1 day at a time. My weight loss is slow but it is coming off

In the beginning you have to know YOUR 'why'? You've got to want 'healthy' more than you want chocolate or wine or pizza or whatever.

@rubyeruch87 I have wine every night ! Track it

@intercourse nothing's off the menu in WW!

@rubyeruch87 exactly! That’s why it works

Yes! Just do 1 day. And track it. By the time you go to bed you will feel really positive about it. Then much easier to do another day. 1 small step at a time! Good luck.

Once the scale starts going down (and it will) you will feel awesome and instantly will become even more motivated!

I’m sorry. I have no motivation tips. I’m in a downward tail spin myself. This is a worrisome impossible situation we’re in. We’re trapped like rats. Eating is all I have I’m so stressed.

Try pre-tracking the night before. Then you know you have a plan for the next day.
by (1.2k points)
That's exactly what I do.

Make a list of all the healthy foods you like. Go shopping and have them on hand. Splurge on stuff you like that is healthy. Lobster? It’s way cheaper than eating out. The more options you have on hand, the easier it gets.

Honestly just starting day one and sticking to it is rewarding in itself. Preplan your meals a day or two in advance and once you start to see the results it’s very rewarding and motivating. Look at the success stories too! You are investing in yourself! You got this!

One meal at a time and positive thoughts. Thia program really works if you put in the time. I'm down 68 pounds since July 2019. Slowly but surely. This is an example of just the last couple of months even in quarantine

Yeah I just started again. I felt really frustrated and overwhelmed and like I was waiting for some huge motivation that never came. So instead I just started it and now that I started I'm doing really well sticking with it for now so I think you just have to start and know that it will get easier. The 1st day is always the hardest for me.

What motivated me is following those that have lost a lot of weight on Instagram. Feliciafitnesshealth is probably my favorite.

Follow people who are doing what you want to do, Have someone else take photos of you and take a good look at them. And track all your food as your eating it now, see how many calories and fats you are eating for yourself staring at you on paper.  You can do it - make small changes, gradual - don’t change your life in an instant - Ease into it if you need to, once you start to see your efforts take effect - you will crave the results and push harder

BE HONEST with yourself. The tracking is only as good as your honesty
by (140 points)
So true. I dont track because i dont want to see my messes but ny weight will probably change if i stay consistent with tracking and staying honest. Its hard though. Today i ate candy goldfish and hot fries. No wonder I'm not changing, that's all i eat ☹

Plan a meal you want each day , & then fit the rest in so it works for you , don’t treat it as temporary, something you can do forever. Don’t deprive yourself, or you will fail. good luck !

Just start off by counting everything you eat. Itll give you some perspective on where you are and where you need to start.
by (250 points)
@eschatology8189 yes this is the best approach, as I started my first day I had all of my points almost gone and it was only breakfast I had a lot of re adjusting to do. Lol

You don’t have to master everything at once. Dive into tracking. Track everything - good, bad, ugly, tiny. Let one day turn to two, to three. Don’t be discouraged if you go over points - it’s always an eye opener when we see how we have been eating. Concentrate on doing the best you can each day and try to make each day a little better

I kicked it in, again, last Wednesday. Been tracking every day n walking. I am laid off so it wasn’t easy. I lost 5. 2 lbs in my first week tracking n feel good about that. One day at a time is the best way to do it. Don’t think of any big goal now.

It’s been a struggle for me too. Think about your why. Meal plan. Pick things you want to eat. Plan snacks for when you are board or need a snack
