@gobble33715 I started experiencing some really sharp pains in my lower back Saturday. I took some pain killers and still went to work! Sunday I had to wear a pain patch and use biofreeze with some pain killers to get through my shift. Monday, yesterday, a night I would have normally worked I called in because the pain was so bad that even after laying on a heating pad nothing helped. I have stretched it out the best that I can. So, now I’m on day four and still on the heating pad, and taking some pain killers and biofreeze.

@gadhelic chiropractor told me heat is the worst thing you can do, use ice. (I loved my heating pad )

@phia8 my chiropractor told me to use heat. I was going for physical therapy at one point and they were using heat too.

Right here✋ I have a slip disc L5-S1 and it used to give me very bad back pain, leg pain and locking. I went on a zero carb high protein diet and lost 9kgs cos that was all o needed to lose and it’s significantly improved my life. Now I need to lose weight again so wish me luck

I have a left disc bulge L5-S1 and neuropathy down my left leg. I have bone spurs on the right. I used to take pain meds, muscle relaxers, and meds for the neuropathy. Now I just take Motrin and my neuropathy meds. I found that losing weight did help but also increasing mobility and flexibility. I’m still working on that. I have done bicycle centuries, half-marathons, and Spartans. There are still some moves I have to modify because of my back. I still have work to do to lose, but it has helped.

I also have been wondering this. I have debilitating back pain. have to take meds for it every day. Leg pain that keeps me awake all night. I definitely need to lose weight and was wondering if it would help my back pain. Weight gain is because of back pain. Thanks guys xo

I lost weight and my physio told me my back was singing and dancing with joy. So losing weight does help. it decreases what the back has to carry. and helps Avoid putting weight back on . lift up a 5kg weight at the gym and think of what you've saved your back. Every grams off helps.

Add Moringa to your diet as well as electrolytes. Electroyles relax your muscles and Moringa reduces inflammation. All of this is all natural.

You’d be surprised how much your hip flexors come I to play for back pain , I was treated 11 years ago for BC (37rounds of radiation) and they’ve found that bone cancer is coming in a lot of women who have , the pain was so that I thought , here we go but seeing a PT the eval showed the hip flexors- 2 different simple exercises and 5 days it was gone

I’ve lost 50 pounds so far and before I could hardly get out of bed I was in so much pain in my lower back. I’m much better now. I still get achy here and there but I don’t hurt getting up and can do more without being in pain.

I did! ‍♀️ I had lower back pain from two slipped discs. I sat on an ugly pillow at work all day every day. 12-14lbs later I don’t need that special spine pillow. I can sit on a chair again with no pain!

I have back, neck, and knee issues. All have gotten better. I sometimes have to wear a thin knee brace for certain workouts. But it’s usually because I’ve overdone it doing other things. I take a few supplements that help, too.

It depends on why it hurts. But losing weight will definitely relieve pressure on your body. Just think about carrying a bag of flour weighing say 50 lbs with you all day everyday. It would be easier to get around without it.

As you loose weight, do exercises to strengthen your core. Your core is under there and it needs worked out too. It will help your back if done correctly.

@blindworm578 what kind of core exercises, anything in particular?

The list is long And everyone has different outcomes. But the one l have had rare less shortness of breath, joints, list issues with meds taken. The last and best you can lifelong, plus you can daily reach the goals of a better lifestyle of what why and , whenyou eat the portions of foods. Have to do the work of the plan to reach your goal. when one is ready the plan works. You eat real food , not food like a tx dinner shipped to your house.
