What's people's experience in artificial grass with dogs please? The garden needs a makeover and I'm wanting artificial grass, but concerned about it smelling! Also for anyone who did it themselves, how much did it cost you? Thanks!

I would personally advise against it from experience. No matter how much cleaning you do even if you follow them out with Jeyes after every trip, it will smell. I would fence off an area for them and have it slabbed like you have already and then have artificial lawn on the rest, it will look lovely xx

@pepperandsalt that’s what we did our dog has his bit and we have ours. Love my fake grass didn’t think I would ever say that.

I would clean mine daily when we had our boy I'd clean for poop often, and hose down 2x a day when nice to rid any bad wee smell ext and I'd then spray with zoflora

It just need looking after, like poo picking up and then cleaning! Depends on which artificial grass you buy I did get the cheapest which was £30 a roll and I have the tiniest back garden! I can see it costing you a WHOLE LOT for your garden, be cheaper to treat your grass and fence it off from the dogs xx

I don’t have it the part of my garden where my dogs use as a toilet is monoblock and it stinks of pee if it’s not washed all the time . I really don’t know how this could be kept clean long term , it will be a lot of work especially in warm weather

Better with dogs just pick n wash down i used hosepipe so much easier x
