Can cut the grass all year round depending on how good your mower is. But you should always cut grass as high as possible for it to reach its potential. More surface area = more sun = more nitrogen = green healthy grass

You could give it a good rake, let the air get to it and maybe go over it with a fork for drainage.

It would depend on what part of the UK you live in, as most gardens are either under water or a like a bog.

Why not can’t hurt much. Going to give mine ago if I can get another dry day in.

by (7.2k points)
Depends on if its water logged if it is don't tread or mow as you will compact the soil and cause even more water logging problems.

Frosty here in manchester today. However last February it got to over 20 degrees so i cut my grass and the year before was the beast from the east.
by (3.8k points)
@crandale38407 Turnbull what was the result. I'm looking at my grass and thinking i need to cut it
by (510 points)
@jackass10 i cut it in February in 2019 when we had really bizarre warm weather, it was fine though. I wouldn't cut mine at the moment, its long but is very wet and think it will break my new mower. I am desperate to cut it though lol.
by (3.8k points)

by (1.7k points)
You can but only if the soil is pretty dry and then you should cut the grass on a high setting. If the soil is wet you will compact the roots and there is more chance of moss and weeds developing
+47 votes
by (380 points)
Still a chance of frost if you cut too early the cut grass could die off
+28 votes
by (570 points)
On a high cut only.
