Question

I need some garden help please! I have a small area which is about 4m x 3m. I was going to have artificial grass put down but they want to charge £600 which is ridiculous. Has anyone done their own decking made from pallets? Is it easy or cheap or even any good? I wanna get my garden finished for summer but I don’t have like any budget left. (I don’t want to put gravel there or patio slabs really either)

Go on eBay I paid £135 for a 4x4 40mm thick and £20 for fittings for it

It's not ridiculous it's the job done right artificial ain't the cheapest of options done correctly.

I had a price for 1000 for a 4m x 8 which i thought was a good price considering the base thats got to go in to do it properly

Pallets are not treated so wont last a long time but if it's a couple of years it will work use a membrane to stop weeds coming thru

600 is cheap tbh. I'd be £1000-£1200 for that size

Its not ridiculous its just not in your budget. A tradesman has to earn a living and on £600 thats just a standard days work. Do it yourself then u only lay out the couple hundred on materials
